Whitby is a lively fishing town made famous by the novel Dracula, written by Bram Stoker. Why not climb the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey, where the mythical creature is said to have climbed from the shipwreck just off this wonderful coastline, for a fantastic view down across the town. Enjoy the cobbled back streets and its delightful selection of shops. Although famous for award-winning fish and chips, Whitby has a lot more to offer from Michelin star restaurants and gastropubs, to pubs offering live music and real ales. Enjoy a ride through town on the open top tour bus or venture out to sea in search of whales, seals and dolphins on one of the pleasure cruisers. The Cleveland Way runs through the town and offers wonderful coastal walks all along the picturesque Yorkshire Heritage Coast or a wander along the Cinder Track will take you down into Robin Hood’s Bay and beyond. You will find surfing schools and stories of piracy along the coast in stunning bays and coves such as Staithes and Runswick Bay, as well as Saltburn and Sandsend. Traditional seaside resorts such as Scarborough are easily accessible with attractions including The Sealife Centre, Peasholme Park, two beaches, an outdoor music arena and a water park.
Take the Harry Potter Express Steam Train into the heart of the North York Moors and ‘Heartbeat’ country, where you will find Goathland, which still has some of the original film set on show. Beach 900 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 450 yards.

Superb holiday home in the heart of whitby. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and surprisingly very spacious. We were 6 adults and all felt we had our own space and weren't living on top of one another. The house is just a 5 minute walk into the centre of town, where there is plenty to explore and entertain. Delveen was exceptional! The personal little touches and attention to detail really made our stay special! I have styyed at plenty of holiday homes accross the UK and this is by far the best for presentation, cleanliness, and value for money. I would 100% recommend and my advice to anyone thinking about booking is, do it, you will not be dissapointed.

Would've been 10 out of 10 except that the shower was pretty weak. Otherwise an absolutely fantastic house very very close to the centre of Whitby. The price was amazing for that quality of house and the view from the upstairs front of the house was really nice. If we come to Whitby again we will definitely be looking to stay there again. Well done owners the house was one of the best parts of our trip. Thank you.

Beautiful house and very easy to get into town without the need for a car. Beds were fantastic but the sofas downstairs we found uncomfortable. Nothing wrong with them though. The owner was very caring and checked we had all we needed at the start.
