Loved visiting lilac cottage, what a stunning location. Beautiful stream through the village, a local farm shop (season varies as do product availability, would advise to check prior to visiting) the pub in the village serves wonderful homemade food. The cottage had everything we could ask for with comfort and equipment. We weren’t sure what to expect upon arrival so only bought partial amenities and had to go back out to obtain more as no welcome pack on arrival which was a shame but was soon overlooked once settled. Lovely basket of things to do on the area and about local towns. No WiFi which has its pros and cons. Would certainly return.

Cottage details stated 2 bathrooms and we assumed both would have a toilet in. But the en-suite bathroom just had a shower and hand basin. Also there was a big step into the shower.

The cottage is ideally placed in the village of Sinnington for access to lovely dog walks in the countryside, and also near to the village pub / restaurant. The property is very cosy, clean, comfortable and well-equipped.

Lilac cottage is a gem of a place, quaint and comfortable, all three of us loved it, especially my dad. The location is lovely too, a pretty village with a great pub,The Fox and Hounds, the food there was delicious and the staff really friendly. Lots to do in the area too, with the North York Moors Railway at the top of the list. We would definitely stay at Lilac cottage again & will be recommending it to friends and family.
