A warm and cosy retreat in a great location

This cottage is a home away from home and provides everthing that you would expect for a relaxing break by the sea. It is located not far from the main holiday resort of Felixstowe being within easy reach of all the entertainment that Felixstowe has to offer while providing a quiet and scenic base to enjoy them. This property offers good value for money whatever time of year you choose to visit.

The cottage appeared very clean and although it was tired looking and old, but it did look very clean. But sadly we had to leave as the smell on the downstairs bedroom of animal urine was so strong I had an asthma attack. I suspect someone took in a four legged creature without permission, (possibly a cat, I'm allergic to cats) and it peed on the mattress or flooring. The owner was as shocked and horrified as myself. Gave us a full refund and arranged a complete deep clean. That was very disappointing as it was a potentially lovely place to stay. Great view of the sea, quiet but not too far from civilisation. Bathrooms were clean and the house wad quite well equipped. The kitchen was immaculate with everything we'd need. Although we were unlucky, I'm sure this was a blip. Just worth mentioning as this is the 3rd time I've been asked to do a review. No hard feelings, the owner was very understanding and fair. It did spoil a special family weekend, but that's life. They could've made things worse but didn't and that makes such a big difference when things go wrong, as sometimes they do.

Beautiful location right on sea/ estuary front . Lovely spacious house plenty of room well equipped kitchen, nice quiet lane would go again

Lovely space which grew on us as our stay progressed. Although it looked a little tired at first, it’s location is amazing and comfort and family space were not compromised at all. The bed in the master bedroom could be updated to make it a bit more comfortable, but overall we had a great stay.

Suggest the owner carries out a total refurbishment specifically to the cooker and seating accommodation in the lounge. A thorough clean would also be in order.

Excellent, spacious accommodation, with a superb location so close to the shoreline.
