Mill cottage is set in the most beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The garden is lovely and lots of lovely walks straight from the door, which was great for our dogs too. The only negative points were the beds/mattresses are a quite hard and uncomfortable. Also, the steps up the stairs are very narrow, which is ok for younger people, but unfortunately I had to come down slowly and side ways. when we came back to the cottage after our day out, the garden chairs and table had been tipped upside down, with a leg fallen off the table. We felt a bit uncomfortable that someone had been in the garden whilst we were out. Overall, the cottage and it's surroundings make for a lovely holiday.

Fantastic holiday location. Recommendations I would make are for better lighting within the lounge and bathroom. Would have really appreciated a shower or shower screen.

This beautiful old cottage is in a simply idyllic location and we returned this year because of the large garden (wonderful for cricket with my grandson!), peace and quiet and excellent local walks for our dogs. However, it cost us £200 more this year than last (it would have been £400+ more if we had booked the exact same week as last summer!) and the fixtures and fittings are looking ever tattier - stained carpets, worn upholstery etc. The cottage needs a bit of a makeover to transform it into the first class holiday let one would expect for the rates being charged. In particular, new sofas, a dishwasher and a proper shower would be a huge plus - the hand held shower fitment (no curtain) is useless and it takes ages for 5 people to have a bath. All that said, we still had a wonderful week!

A traditional, cosy cottage in a stunning, tranquil location. It has a large garden in addition to being surrounded by beautiful countryside, a log fire and many lovely walks from the doorstep. If you value nature, wildlife, history, and good old fashioned peace and quiet this is definitely for you.

Some points of interest: - Kitchenware poor - Floor in bedroom not level -Showercurtain not present, not even a hook on the wall for the shower.

Cottage is in a great location, a beautiful village with great walks from your front door. Whilst the grounds and cottage is kept well, the internal fittings could benefit from an upgrade, the beds and lounge chairs were uncomfortable.
