It’s got it all location views south facing the finest quality space garden and pub nearby. Renovated and luxuriously refurbished including sumptuous carpets bespoke hand-built kitchen and stunning Victorian style family bathrooms and situated in the village of Threlkeld with views in every direction from St John’s in the Vale and Clough Head to the front and the mighty Blencathra towering behind. Built from slate with a brown hue mined locally and unique to Threlkeld this impressive detached house enjoys the sun all day long and has phenomenal views from every room. There are two cracking pubs in the village one with a restaurant and one serving bar meals. Keswick is 3 miles and access to the M6 is only 15 minutes drive. For those travelling on public transport there are regular buses from Penrith train station which drop you right outside the property and continue in to Keswick. Excellent stay at Mount Pleasant. Couldn't have wished for anything more from a staycation post lockdown with it being obvious that they had gone above and beyond to cater for us. Lots of local walks from the doorstep, amazing cafe next door (recommended the ginger cake) and a breathtaking view from every window.

A lovely well-equipped spacious cottage. Good location, bus stops right outside the door, near an excellent pub - Horse and Farrier. Highly recommended!

The house is lovely and we have stayed here before. A warm cosy retreat with plenty of room to spread out if needed. Location is great with lovely walks from the door step no driving required. Horse and Farrier pub/restaurant is a short walk and nice but gets busy so book a table. Sadly houses being built in field at front of house, so view down valley and across to Threkeld common spoilt. Building work still in full flow on our visit so woken by lorries delivering stone at 7:00.

Second visit and the 8 of us had a great time. Other than the 2 pubs in the small village (100 yards away) there is not much else and so a car is essential. The house is well equipped and the beds are very comfy. Downstairs open fire is a rare treat these days. We'd definitely go back.

A very pleasant, well equipped house. Beautifully appointed with very comfortable beds, excellent showers and a well equipped kitchen, we would definitely visit again. Disadvantages are few but I think worth mentioning if you are elderly or have mobility problems. The stairs have very shallow treads, not as long as an adult size 6 shoe and I slipped down them on arrival. The downstairs lounge has an open fire and no coal was left so we preferred the upstairs lounge with a gas fire. It is a bit of a shame that the owners have built more units in front of the house as the enclosed garden is the drive which is all gravel, not so great if you have dogs you want to let out. Threlkeld is a lovely village with splendid walks from the door, it has 2 pubs but no shop so make sure you bring supplies, including milk as none in welcome pack which otherwise was well equipped with a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and biscuits. Next door is the village hall which has a tea shop open every day. That sells souvenirs, nice food and walkling leaflets so worth visiting sooner rather than later (as we did!)

Seating past its sell by date. Beds very good. Building site next door a big turn off - had been told when I booked in the Spring that building work would be finished - it probably wont be finished by Spring 2020!! Welcome pack very poor indeed - totally inadequate - not even a bottle of milk! Will not be returning.
