    Mount Pleasant is the pièce de résistance of our larger properties in the Northern Lakes. It’s got it all, location, views, south facing, the finest quality, space, garden and pub nearby. Renovated and luxuriously refurbished, including sumptuous carpets, bespoke hand-built kitchen and stunning Victorian style family bathrooms, and situated in the village of Threlkeld with views in every direction, from St John’s in the Vale and Clough Head to the front and the mighty Blencathra towering behind. Built from slate with a brown hue, mined locally and unique to Threlkeld, this impressive detached house enjoys the sun all day long and has phenomenal views from every room. There are two cracking pubs in the village, one with a restaurant and one serving bar meals. Keswick is 3 miles and access to the M6 is only 15 minutes drive. For those travelling on public transport there are regular buses from Penrith train station which drop you right outside the property, and continue in to Keswick.     Seating past its sell by date. Beds very good. Building site next door a big turn off - had been told when I booked in the Spring that building work would be finished - it probably wont be finished by Spring 2020!! Welcome pack very poor indeed - totally inadequate - not even a bottle of milk! Will not be returning.

    We all had a lovely time. The house was well equipped and comfortable and had some great views, we even saw a red squirrel from the window. Finally got to the top of Blencathra after years of trying. The only issue was the building work, but we knew about that and received a discount which was appreciated. But some mornings they started up machinery before 7:20. Threlkeld could really do with a small shop for essentials.

    Super family house, terrific location with lots of walks from the doorstep. House was ideal, clean, very spacious and had everything you needed, we wanted for nothing. Bathrooms and showers were amazing very powerful just what you need after a long day in the hills. Definitely recommend for larger groups.

    Beautiful house with high quality furnishings and equipment. The best holiday house we have ever stayed in. It is a Shame about the construction site right in front of the house. It was disruptive and noisy sadly.

    We stayed for a weekend. The house is much nicer than the photos show. All the bedrooms are lovely, excellent beds. Kitchen is fantastic and the local pub is just 2 minutes walk away.

    Lovely large family holiday home tastefully decorated with lovely touches to the decor. Great for family gatherings and special occasions. Warm and cosy with lovely kitchen and bathrooms. Large lounge on Ist floor and smaller lounge on ground floor. Large kitchen well equipped and can seat eight at the table to eat comfortably. Excellent holiday would highly recommend. Not many local amenities as no shops in the village anymore but two good pubs and village tea room. Views are stunning of Blencathra range and Threlkeld village.

    We really enjoyed our stay in Mount Pleasant. A week of smiles and laughter. A lovely place to base your visit to the Lake District. The entrance gate is a bit tricky from the narrow lane if you have a larger car but nothing that couldn't be overcome with care.

    Great house for a group. Ideal location with places to go within the village itself. The sofa in the 1st floor lounge is past it's best and uncomfortable, this was the consensus of 7 adults. Other than that the house was good with the kitchen/diner great social space.
