First floor 1 twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with toilet. \n Gas CH elec bed linen and towels inc. Cot available on request. Hchair. Freesat TV. DVD. CD. Elec cooker. Mwave. Wmachine. Dwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed lawned garden. Parking 3 cars. No smoking.\n This deceptively spacious detached holiday house has been tastefully renovated to a good standard with a sunny conservatory two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor. There is free Wi-fi in the property. There are also USB charger sockets in the main bedroom and the lounge. With Chrome Cast in the lounge you can stream from your hand-held device. All instructions on how to use this is in the front page of the visitor’s book. The pleasant village is situated within easy walking distance of Derwent Water with all its watersports and is only 1.5 miles walk through the fields to the popular Lake District town of Keswick. All around there are views of the mountains from Skiddaw to Grizedale Pike and Cat Bells with superb walking and cycling available locally bike hire in Keswick.     Beautiful place to stay. Cottage was clean, tidy and very comfortable. We felt very relaxed after our holiday.

    We had an amazing time. Weather was great enabling us to explore the attractions of Derwent Water. Easy access from Portinscale to Keswick by car and by foot, especially for dogs. House was conveniently located, would definitely recommend and stay there again. No local or immediate shops to buy anything, such as milk and bread. Some aspects of the house were a little dated. TV and dvd could be connected via HDMI or updated to newer appliances. Upstairs bedroom and en-suite were excellent; loved the Velux windows it created a bright and uplifting room. Personally, value for money was not comparable to similar properties that we’ve stayed in at other locations.

    Lovely, spacious, comfortable and warm house. Plenty of room for 6 people. Lots of beautiful walks from the house. We had a fantastic week in Quiet Ways. Thank you!
