There are many attractions of scenic and historical interest within easy reach including Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor and Brodie Castles, or take a trip along the Malt Whisky Trail – the only one of its kind in the world! Visit some of the beautiful, scenic fishing villages of the Moray coastline – voted one of the world’s top 20 coastal destinations! Inverness, which is the capital of the highlands, is only 14 miles away, where you will find a large variety of shops, fine restaurants, pubs, theatre, museums and galleries. Amongst the many activities available are boat trips and watersports on Loch Ness (it’s a good monster spotting area) and the Moray coast, mountain biking and walking in the many forest trails. It is also a great place for photography with a huge abundance of birds and wildlife on the doorstep.
