Sealladh Breagha (Gaelic: beautiful view) is a charming traditional Skye cottage, nestled on the stunning North West of the Isle of Skye, offering a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views across the loch to the Cuillin mountains. It has recently been renovated to a high standard. The cottage features two loch view bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs, providing comfortable and spacious accommodation. There is a bright workspace for those who need it on the upper landing. Downstairs, a third bedroom with loch view and an ensuite adds extra privacy and convenience for guests. The heart of the home is the inviting lounge, complete with a multi-fuel fire that creates a warm and cosy atmosphere whilst you can enjoy the views of the loch, bringing the beauty of Skye indoors. The kitchen is well-equipped for home cooking with a breakfast bar for casual eating. The adjacent utility room provides additional space for convenience, doubling as a mudroom for coming home from outdoor adventures. A lovely dining room off the kitchen also boasts fantastic loch views, making it a perfect spot for meals with a view. French doors open onto a large deck with outdoor furniture and an electric barbecue, where guests can immerse themselves in the spectacular landscape. From the kitchen and the back of the cottage, you can see MacLeods Tables which are both flat-topped mountains & are good for less challenging climbing. For those who love the outdoors, the cottage is ideally located to explore Skye’s natural beauty. The nearby Loch Dunvegan offers opportunities for boat trips, where visitors can spot seals and other wildlife.Dunvegan is roughly 4 miles away and hosts a range of facilities, including several nice cafes and restaurants. Further west is the seat of the MacLeod Family, Dunvegan Castle, which is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland. You can visit inside the castle & their lovely gardens. A short drive from the castle is Coral Beach where you will find beautiful white sands & a great spot for having a dip, but do not be surprised if the local cows are on the beach or in the water during the summer! For nature enthusiasts, the island is filled with dramatic landscapes, including Point Neist, the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing, where visitors can enjoy spectacular hikes and photograph Skye’s iconic scenery. South of Roag you have Carbost where you will find the Talisker Distillery & Visitor Centre, a great place to visit & is right on the loch.
