Not very impressed with this Cottage. It’s a very tiny fisherman’s Cottage. It’s was bearable for the 2 day stay but I would not stay here again

Brilliant location, kitchen equipment could have been better, no coffee pot, serving bowls etc, enough living room chairs for 4, radiators didn’t work well in bedrooms so v cold upstairs. Very quaint, boys loved it.

We had a truly wonderful stay (Monday - Friday) at Sharrowhead Cottage. Our boys (Noah age 8, and Jack age 5) absolutely loved being ‘Kings of the Castle’ in the attic bedroom! Honestly can not fault or pick at anything; it was just perfect from the second we arrived! Thank you!

We knew exactly what to expect when we booked this property. It is a period property, and you get character in spades! Yes it's small, yes it's quirky, yes it's brilliant. Great proximity to the beach, pubs and walks. Quite a few marks and wear and tear, where it looked like previous occupants had tried to lug solid suitcases up the stairs, and had bashed the walls. Also quite a few cobwebs the cleaners had missed. We wouldn't have changed anything for the world, and had a great time. What you see is what you get. If you need space, don't book here. If you want to stay in an authentic former fishermans house, and will love the experience, it's absolutely amazing.

I would have given it 10 for everything if it had a hairdryer or it had informed me that it did not have one lovely cottage for 2 and 1 dog in the winter. it would be OK for 4 in the summer

Lovely little college just metre's from the bay. We enjoyed three nights here using Robin Hoods Bay as a base to visit Whitby, North Yorkshire Moors and surrounding area. The cottage is cosy and ideal for a couple or small family. Although, as noted, the stairs are very steep and need some careful negotiation. On arrival we found everything to be clean and tidy. The heating provided perfect warmth on freezing december nights (there had been snow). We didn't cook but the kitchen was a good size and had all the essential cutlery, pots, pans should you need to. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower could be as hot as you desired. We would eat at one of the local pubs and then return to the cottage afterwards. The fairy lights around the fireplace provided a nice cosy environment to sit on the sofa and watch a little tv before bed. December is out of the main season so I'm not sure if this makes any difference but we didn't hear any noise from the surrounding area or neighbours. A lovely little hideaway cottage, so close to everything in Robin Hoods Bay. We would recommend it to anyone and would happily re-book in the future.

Beautiful location. Very clean and homely. Only downfall was the contact to the property not returning your calls. Would highly recommend for a lovely break.

Very nice cottage in a good location for centre of Robin Hoods Bay. Not for anyone who has accessibility problems or struggles with steep walks - you have to park a 10+ min walk away, but the cottage itself was lovely and comfortable. Based over 4 floors, so again, not great for those especially tall or large as the living space is compact. 3 of us stayed for a weekend and very much enjoyed our time. The village had a few shops & pubs which was fine for what we required during our time. Taxi to Whitby was £12 each way. Lovely beaches & walks in the area and very pretty.

Cottage could no have been better located. However, lack of outside space to have a cigarette was an issue, the photos did not prepare me for this so perhaps it was my lack of attention to detail.
