This large country house is set on a wooded knoll and has been skilfully converted into six spacious holiday houses which are owned by the Caravan Club Ltd and situated on the edge of one of their immaculately kept small touring caravan parks. The house consists of a two storey cottage wing W42981 a first floor apartment W42982 a ground floor garden apartment W42983 two ground floor apartments W42984 and W42986 and a first floor balcony apartment W42985.\nThere’s a lot to see and do in the immediate area. Close by is beautiful Cartmel Priory and the stately homes at Holker Hall Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall. 3 miles west along the coast is the refined small seaside town of Grange-over-Sands with lots of shops golf and fishing. The properties make an excellent touring base for the whole of the southern Lake District.     Really enjoyed our holiday. Have marked down on cleanliness as the bathroom floor, bath and kitchen cupboards - are marked, damaged or just plain grubby looking. Did not affect our holiday and would love to return again - comments book also noted my concerns for the last two years! The site staff were really good and very helpful. Lovely to have bottled milk delivered to site.

    A very pleasant stay was enjoyed in January 2020; our second stay here. Local amenities … shops, pubs, etc. and good walking are a short drive away in Grange - over - Sands (note the back road was flooded during our stay) and the site is nicely located for the South Lakes and the head of the Morecambe Bay estuary. The only slight criticism of the apartment was the rather unimaginative décor, being magnolia woodchip and white ceilings. No doubt easy to freshen up … but not exactly inspired! Grange itself, Cartmel, Hawkshead and Bowness are reached by fairly short and beautiful drives. I would definitely recommend this place.
