Syke Cottage is a beautifully restored 18th-century holiday home that effortlessly blends timeless Yorkshire Dales charm with modern luxury. The well-equipped kitchen and adjoining dining area make cooking and gathering together a pleasure, whether you’re enjoying a hearty breakfast before a day of exploring or a cosy evening meal with family and friends. After a day in the Dales, unwind in the inviting main lounge beside the crackling wood-burning stove, or settle in for a film night on the Smart TV with Netflix. A second lounge/snug provides additional space for families and groups, complete with another TV and Netflix access, a Wii games console, board games, books, and DVDs perfect for entertaining guests of all ages.
One of the cottage’s standout features is the stunning garden room with its vaulted ceiling, which opens onto the enclosed patio courtyard. This bright and versatile space serves as an additional dining area and also offers practical amenities including a washing machine, microwave, full-size fridge/freezer, and secure bike storage. A separate shower room and WC are conveniently located nearby. Upstairs, three beautifully presented bedrooms provide flexible and comfortable accommodation. The spacious master bedroom features a luxurious super king-size bed and en-suite shower room, with the option to configure the bed as twin singles on request. A second king-size bedroom and a twin room with full-size single beds complete the sleeping arrangements. Families travelling with young children are well catered for, with a travel cot and bed safety rail available. The family bathroom includes a bath with drench shower over, ideal for a relaxing soak after walking or cycling in the surrounding countryside.
Outside, guests can enjoy the south-facing enclosed patio courtyard — a real suntrap furnished with outdoor seating and a dining table, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks.
