Teal cottage was very clean very spacious and looked just as advertised. Its location is ideal for visiting various locations great little cottage.

A very pleasant cottage and very dog friendly. So many excellent walks within a short distance. A very nice summer holiday.

Well equiped and located holiday let which sits in a row of similar properties which is big enough for a family of four and a dog (we were 2 adults and a dog). Well located for a short walk to Embleton Beach (10-15mins) and walks along the coast. 3 good places to eat and drink in the village (although The Blue Bell is more of a restaurant and and doesn't take dogs). The beer garden for the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel at the end of the terrace row is just across the road and the hotel has a 'dog friendly' lounge for those rainy days. For us, the only thing that let this property down (and this is a small thing), was the lack of a garden or patio area where, like the house next door - which had its own walled off garden, one could sit out to enjoy the sunshine over breakfast or lunch or to perhaps have a bar-b-que later in the day. Space out the back is concreted and is reserved for parking or access to the other properties. Out front is a small walled and inaccessible area which gives space between the house, main road road and pavement. So in summary: Embleton is good and an excellent base fromwhich to explore the area, the property is well equipped, tastefully decorated and very clean. We just felt a garden or patio area would have been the icing on the cake. Otherwise, no compliants and we had a good week.

Would recommend and would go back again.

A lovely cottage in a lovely area. The cottage is equipped with anything you might need. Would definitely visit again.

A lovely cottage with all amenities. We felt the location was better than the more popular Alnwick. It was close to the coast and Seahouses and without the many tourists that Alnwick appeared to have. The three local pubs were friendly and welcoming and the local store/post office had a good stock of groceries, wine and local beer.

This was our second stay at Teal cottage, its well equipped and a lovely comfortable cottage. Excellent wifi.

Lovely well equipped cottage in beautiful surroundings and friendly locals.

Lovely cottage just getting ready for a bit of a facelift - only 2 odd wine glasses so we added a third as three of us like a glass ? - apart from that the cottage is handy for exploring the area and good value for money.

Very nice, only one problem the single beds are very low and because of my age difficult to get out of, otherwise couldn’t fault it at all.

Local amenities are “not a lot”, but that is what we wanted, Alnwick is not far away, 2 small shops, petrol and pub. Teal Cottage was fine, as always. Our 5th stay, may be 6th!

Had another wonderful stay at Teal Cottage. Fab location, cosy and comfortable interior and somewhere I would stay again in a heartbeat. Close to some amazing walks, the brilliant local The Grays Inn and a scenic stroll to The Ship Inn at Low Newton.

Second time again at Embleton as good as the first time pub very friendly and good food all points of interest within walking distance or 45 minutes by car

Lovely cottage in a great location in lovely Embleton. So well equipped! Very dog friendly (throws, towels, biscuits thankyou!) but you wouldn’t know it if you didn’t have a dog- very clean & well maintained. Thanks for the biscuits (& sharp knives, chopping boards, plenty of teabags, dishwasher tablets & washing liquid- I got a load done before we left!) Will definitely be back!
