Blessed with the weather for the end of February and that helped in making it a very pleasant and relaxing weekend at the Coach House. It's got all you need with a superb view to boot, and that's in addition to two lovely pubs more or less on your doorstep. It's a nice touch when the owner phones to advise on the best route to the village and to let you know that you could arrive / leave a little earlier / later than thought. If you want to get away from it all I'd recommend this cottage wholeheartedly. (And on a slightly separate note a word of thanks to Bill, a very hospitable caretaker of the property).

We have stayed at the Coach House many times, that should speak for itself. Although it is fairly isolated, it's in such a fantastic setting, perfect for anyone who enjoys walking, with two very beautiful hotels within a few minutes walk from the cottage. The owners are very attentive without being obtrusive, ensuring that we had everything we need for a comfortable stay.

Coach house was in a beautiful village in the Ceriog Valley,my husband and I have been going to the Valley many years, lots of walks and wildlife to see, however , there was lots of spiderwebs all over the rooms, the duvet on the bed looked lovely, but smelt musty, and the cover was torn..... This would not put me off going again, as these small things can be rectified.

This was my first holidays with my wife as we got married on 30th June on the Saturday and what a way to celebrate at such a beautiful place I call our little heaven. We will definitely be back I would recommend it to any couple . If I’m honest both pubs are good the hand and the West arms but for me and my wife the hand was the best the service to the food was gorgeous the people were really pleasant. We will be back we didn’t want to leave and what a beautiful scenery in fact that’s does quite it how good it is these not enough words to describe how amazing place it was but I’ve tried me best. The animals were great from sheep eagles pheasant and rabbits . The view u get from the balcony is just breath taking having breakfast in the morning was all I can describe is heavenly and we can’t thank you all enough we have fell in love

Stayed 4 nights for a relaxing break. We were not disappointed. The accommodation was very well equipped, comfortable, beautifully presented all in a gorgeous setting. Patrick and Carol, the owners of The Coach House, contacted us to make sure we found all that we needed, which was lovely of them. We visited both nearby pubs and received a welcome at each but The Hand was our favourite and we made it our local. All in all we had a wonderful stay and shall definitely be returning.

Superb location and very comfortable cottage. The Hand pub is lovely and prepares excellent meals. Location ideal for National Trust properties. Useful Coop in Chirk and on the M and S on Giedrid roundabout. Tranquil and relaxing location. Plan to return.
