Great break in a lovely part of Wales, cottage was perfect for 2 with views you could sit and look at all day long even with some pretty mixed weather. Great walks from the door and 2 fantastic pubs 100 yards away with lovely warm cottage to come back to didn't need to light the log burner even in November. Only slight negative was rain shower didn't get red hot but was lovely if switched over to handheld and owner said he would get plumber to check it out as we left. Overall fantastic stay would highly recommend

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at The Coach House. Great cosy upside down cottage with lovely views and very well equipped (only negative was the wood burner being difficult to light). Cottage is in a lovely peaceful location with plenty of walking straight from the doorstep. Added bonus of 2 pubs in the village we ate twice at The Hand and had 2 superb meals. We had such a relaxing time away from it all at The Coach House and would definitely like to return in the future.

This is a clean, well equipped cottage & it felt very welcoming as we walked in. Very quiet with a lovely outlook from the patio doors. Would definitely recommend.

The Coach House is perfectly situated to explore the surrounding area and is set in a lovely little village with fantastic views. There are two gastro pubs in the village, but nothing else. It is an upside down house and although we had a good holiday, it could be better. The equipment in the kitchen was a mish mash of stuff and gave the impression that the owners had filled the cupboards with things they no longer use. The sofas were quite uncomfortable and the wood burner needs a service and better instructions. The only way we could get it to light was to leave the door open. The standard of cleanliness was quite poor with several cobwebs in the corners and layers of dust on several surfaces. We also found items of underwear left in the drawers and cutlery in the dishwasher from the previous guests. The cooker and hob are not the easiest to use. The bathroom is a good layout and the shower is fantastic - we are likely to try recreate this bathroom in our own home when we do our bathroom up! The patio terrace is also a good feature with great views over the fields. With a little thought and investment, plus employing a better cleaner the Coach House could easily achieve top marks in every area.

It’s what we call our little bit of heaven that’s how amazing place it is . From the views to people to never ever want to leave such beauty . You got to hotel/pubs one the hand and the west arms both great places to go . I would say for food and drink I would definitely say the hand is the better one but both are great for a pleasant drink . The west arms as amazing beer garden with a fantastic view . These one way of describing it perfect heaven and peaceful . Oh yes perfect for couples with no pets

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this original, well designed, cosy cottage. The bedroom with ensuite bathroom is downstairs. There is plenty of storage in the bedroom and a comfortable bed. The open plan lounge/kitchen is upstairs, with beautiful views across the valley from the balcony door. The kitchen is well equipped, and there is a full size fridge/freezer. The combined oven/grill/microwave took a bit of getting used to, but once I got my head round it, it was fine. The central heating system works well, and the cottage was really cosy. There is also a wood burner, and the owners left a supply of logs etc for us to use - we enjoyed lighting it when it snowed!! There was a folder with instructions for all the appliances, which was really helpful. There was also info about local walks, plus DVD's, books, and games for times at the cottage. The WIFI worked well, but there is no mobile phone signal The owner has provided a landline phone for use in emergencies, with an honesty box. The cottage is in a very peaceful location in a very small village with no shops, but it does have 2 pubs, one of which is Michelin starred! We can recommend both of the pubs. It is a great place to walk from, but we found we mostly had to drive to get anywhere to do anything. Llangollen is about a 20min drive, as is Chirk. There are Spa and Coop supermarkets in both places to pick up any food, etc. We can thoroughly recommend this cottage for a peaceful break away.

Great place with loads of countryside to walk in. 2 Pubs within 5 Mins with food. If you want peace and quiet off the beaten track but not that far from civilisation this is your choice.
