The owners are qualified mountain leaders and climbing instructors, so why not learn to navigate the Cheviot Hills or try rock climbing (by direct arrangement with the owner).

Holiday was great and location very good, close by loads to do and see. A bit disappointed with kitchen utensils. ... Tin opener not working, no cheese grater, rusty sieve and casserole dish had a big crack in it, and not ideal when you have to ask a neighbour for tin opener!!!!

Good property, great location. Very rural which we liked, quiet and peaceful. Lovely property, thoroughly enjoyed our time there, would stay there again. Amenities I assume mean shops and things. We did not choose the property for that and did not actually stop at the local village so cannot comment.

What a great find just what the doctor ordered for rest and relaxation. Got to say was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door and the bottle of wine went down well after a long drive. If your looking for a place to go off grid as such this is the place.

Lovely little cottage in a quiet location. Alnwick is only 10mins away with some great places to eat. Great location for a base to explore Northumberland ????
