Very good week in excellent accommodation
It was a great cottage to stay in. The hosts were very good. The only issue is that the fridge is very small so had to make frequent trips to Tesco which was nearby.
It's a great location and a good base to explore the surrounding areas.
The kids enjoyed playing with the chickens, sky TV and Alexa.
There were lots of "extras" like jams, chocolate biscuits and a bottle of wine which was greatly appreciated.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting , warm and welcoming on arrival and milk / wine in the cottage etc a nice touch ,plenty of places to see and walks in the forest , no local shop in walking distance on negative , very small one at that ,owners said wild boar at back of garden and we saw them for ourselves, amazing, we’ll be back definitely x
What a delightful cottage, spotless clean and very comfortable bed, we made great use of the “Alexa”gadget, for our music listening, as I am disabled found the area very hilly for us, but nevertheless, a lovely place to stay, would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place in the Forest of Dean, and the chickens and sheep were an added bonus, very happy customers,

A comfortable cottage, and welcoming hosts. A good base to explore the Forest of Dean
We have had a lovely stay in the cottage and made friends with the chickens ?
The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable.
The owners were next door if needed but not intrusive.
This is the third time we have stayed at 'the nook' and that I think speaks volumes. If you're looking at a 'home from home', somewhere to relax and unwind with all the the home comforts you could wish for, this is the place.
Warm welcome to comfortable, well equipped cottage.
Good centre for cycling tracks in the forest. I have Parkinson's and so was able to fit some special equipment in the cottage. Unable to walk far

A great week in a lovely cottage. Owners were helpful and kind. Cottage was clean, comfortable and helped make it a relaxing break. Would definitely return.
It was fantastic couldn't ask for better the accommodation was excellent. And what you got for money was brilliant couldn't ask for better. The surrounding area was excellent, going back down memory lane from 20yrs ago couldn't ask for better.
We stayed at the Nook over the Christmas period and were welcomed into the warm cottage complete with very tasteful Christmas decorations. This was, without doubt, the warmest, best equipped accommodation we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few. Richard and Lisa, the owners were very friendly and discrete. We would love to return to this cottage, perhaps in spring time where, the local countryside and wildlife could be better appreciated.
Lovely cottage ideal location 10 minutes to lydney railway station convenient for visiting Gloucester Cheltenham Cardiff etc also well placed for exploring the Forest of Dean the cottage is well equipped and very cosy
An excellent base for exploring all the Forest of Dean has to offer.
Spotlessly clean and cosy. We would return.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Nook. It was a good base for us. We enjoyed the quiet and restful nature of the property. Our hosts were unobtrusive but welcoming. All the fixtures and fittings were of a high spec and the cottage was very comfortable.
