Another brilliant holiday at the OTE. This is one of the very best places we’ve stayed at - this being our fifth time. Bonus is the owners are very dog friendly. Our Jack Russell loves the garden. Helen made us a scrummy lemon drizzle cake which went down very well. There’s loads of gorgeous walks and plenty of interesting places to visit. This time we went for a gorgeous and traditional afternoon tea at Coghlans in the delightful village of Baningham about 7 miles outside Richmond just over the county border in Durham.

Peaceful location, good amenities both at the cottage and in the town. Would have liked a grab handle by the bath, only improvement for older folk who prefer a bath to a shower that I would recommend.

A great short stay. The Old Telephone Exchange lived up to previous reviews and the photos. The cottage had everything you could wish for and was spotlessly clean. We visited mid March and the timed heating was greatly appreciated especially the under floor heating in the bathroom and conservatory. Well located in the Yorkshire Dales- an ideal bolt hole for couples wishing to escape.

A wonderful small cottage with a nice atmosphere and extremely well presented. A warm personal welcome message is a lovely touch. It is not surprising that the cottage is well booked up throughout the year and many of the visitors have been before (including us).
