> Tucked away in a rural setting within the North York Moors National Park, The Wheelhouse enjoys glorious views and makes a lovely holiday home with enjoyable walks from the door. The property has been carefully restored to combine a wealth of traditional features, such as exposed stonework and an unusually spacious garden room that was formerly the wheelhouse for horses threshing corn. The property has no Wi-Fi, however there is 4G coverage available in the area. The Wheelhouse is just a couple of miles from the pretty village of Swainby and well placed for visiting the market town of Thirsk and surrounding ‘Herriot Country’. A little further afield is the north east coast with its quaint fishing villages and Whitby where popular Whitby Abbey stands majestically on the headland above the traditional working harbour. For the energetic there is good surfing at Saltburn. The North York Moors
country provide stunning scenery and are wonderful for touring. Shops and pub 2½ miles.
