The Milking Shed (UK30436) is a lovingly furnished, two bedroom cottage set all on the ground floor. It features a large living room with electric wood burner and patio doors that look over the owners garden. The master bedroom has a zip and link super king size bed, which can be twin beds on request. The second bedroom has a zip and link king size bed which can be two small twins on request. The large bathroom has a P-shape bath with shower over, while the bright and warm kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher and sunny dining area.
Orchard Cottage (UK30437) is perfect for a romantic escape from the real world with its slate floors and beams. Small but perfectly formed, the property is furnished to a good standard with a comfortable sofa, well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Upstairs is a beautiful, beamed bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room (low ceiling height to one side of the bed).
The Tack Room (UK30438) is also ideal for a couple with one comfortable upstairs bedroom with a zip and link super kingsize bed, which can be twin beds on request and seating area as well as a lovely en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over. Downstairs you are greeted by a gorgeous open plan living space with beams and an inglenook fireplace with electric wood burner. The tasteful furnishings complement the style of the cottage yet it has all the modern features.
Long Barn (UK30435) is set all on one level. The large living space has comfortable sofas (one a double sofa bed), TV and DVD player, a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely dining area to enjoy meals and games after a day out. The large bedroom has a super kingsize zip and link bed providing flexibility for a family as these can be split into twin beds if needed. The en-suite bathroom a shower over the bath.
Outside, each cottage has a table and chairs, plus shared use of a large, enclosed paddock, perfect for letting dogs or kids let off some steam. Dogs are more than welcome in each cottage, with lots of facilities provided for them including bowls, treats and a dog wash area. The cottages are heated by environmentally friendly, wood biomass boilers, and with the electricity supplied by solar panels. The cottages also have use of a lovely communal conservatory.
Surrounded by National Trust properties, nature parks and walks in every direction, Thorney Country Cottages enjoy a truly wonderful location. Muchelney Abbey is an English Heritage site only a mile away, once a Benedictine House and dates back to the 7th century.
