The second time we have stayed here. Love being able to walk from the door without getting in the car. So many facilities in the village too - love getting suppers from Peak Feast as well as the excellent pubs and village shop.

Lovely clean cottage in a great location. We could not fault the amenities within the cottage as there was everything we needed. We arrived to find a delicious Victoria sponge cake and a pint of milk which was just what we needed after a long journey. The only downside for us was the access to the patio garden for our dogs. Three pubs in the village, one being The Bulls Head (family run pub) which served great food and beer. A great base to visit all of Derbyshire.

This cottage is excellent. The pictures don’t really do it justice. It is more spacious than we had expected and is spotlessly clean. There are a lot of thoughtful touches, like plenty of massive fluffy towels and a homemade sponge on arrival. It is very well-equipped with things like kitchen utensils and cooking vessels, toiletries and pegs. The utility room on entry is very useful, with extra fridge and full size freezer, washing machine, separate tumble drier, and drying rack. A good place for wet boots and coats! Behind the cottage is a pleasant view of the valley. We saw a woodpecker and squirrels in the trees, and also heard an owl. There are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep - you don’t need to get in the car first to find a picturesque spot that links up with a choice of varied and interesting footpaths. It is also not far to find other attractions if you want to drive: within about 20 minutes are Bakewell, Haddon Hall, Chatsworth and Matlock Bath. There is a public car park just opposite the cottage, which has a good amount of space. There is an honesty box to donate £2 for its use.

Exceptionally clean traditional property which was very well equipped. A little disappointed with the outside area at the rear of the property but this was mostly due to neighbours scaffolding one side and the other neighbours unkempt garden the other. Steep steps down to a small neat lawned area with lovely views and patio area with wooden table and chairs that needed some tlc. Situated on the edge of a lovely village with lots of walks direct from the cottage. Good amenities close by including 3 pubs. Small post office and good bakery in the village too. Good proximity to many of the areas best attractions.

A return visit - the cottage is in a great location with lovely views. Clean and welcoming - the cake was delicious and the toiletries much appreciated. Despite two weeks of mostly rain we had a great holiday it was lovely having Tree Tops to return to after a damp day out - it is well equipped, comfortable and relaxing. When next in Derbyshire we will re-book - the best cottage we have had in this area.

A delightful cottage! Extremely well equipped and the choice of DVDs, board games, books and magazines were also great! Lots of towels too! The little touches like a selection of tea/coffee/sugar and the toiletries were also thoughtful extras that really do make a difference The welcome cake and pint of milk were lovely touches and very much appreciated! Youlgreave is a lovely village and the walks from the door are super. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here :)

This is a lovely comfortable cottage, maintained to a high standard by the owners. The only downside is that the garden is accessed by steep steps at the rear of the property. However it has lovely views over Bradford Dale, and you can hear the river with the backdoor open.

Very clean, comfortable & well-equipped cottage. Good location on edge of village with several beautiful walks from the door. South-facing rear patio & terrace with lovely views over valley & hills beyond. Home-made cake provided was very welcome after a long walk!

The cottage is so lovely with amazing views, really peaceful with just sounds of the birds, warm, clean, better equipped than our house (!), the bed was really comfy, the village had everything we needed and the locals/visitors were so friendly, the walks from the door were great, the snow made it extra special, the dog loved it and was so tired!, the home-made cake was really appreciated (especially by our daughter!). It was our first stay in a cottage and we couldn't have asked for anything better. I need to secretly sell the tent on ebay and spend more time looking for fantastic cottages like this - Thank you!
