Cot available.\n\n Outside steeply terraced front garden with seating. Parking for two cars. Due to its location the cottage would not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.\n\n Situated on the mountainside high above Glenridding with a view to die for this two-bedroom Lakeland stone cottage has an idyllic location. With fantastic walks from the doorstep including the assent of Helvellyn your car need never move all week.\n\nGlenridding itself is about ½ mile with shops cafes and pubs the nearest pub being only ¼ mile. A drive over Kirkstone Pass will take you to Ambleside and Windermere with Keswick a similar distance in the opposite direction.     Lovely cottage, ideal location for fell walking! Just beware of the front path and steps up to the cottage after a long day hiking or in the dark, path was narrow in places due to overgrown hedges. Overall a beautiful place and we had a wonderful holiday.

    Great location and views. House is comfortable and quiet. Glenridding has enough facilities eg shops and pubs. The Travellers Rest pub down the lane can be recommended. The Ullswater Way is fabulous and made simpler by using the Ullswater Steamers to get to/from start and finish points.

    Had a great Easter break at High Rake. Lovely cottage only a short walk to the village and the lake. Very relaxing with walks from the door. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need with great views.

    Fantastic cottage is the most beautiful location with amazing views. Lovely suntrap outside the front door to sit and admire the views. Well equipped and very comfy bed. Cottage full of character! Walks from the door step. Would love to stay again.
