Comprising of comfortable bedrooms contemporary bathrooms and fantastic open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of comfy seating from which to enjoy the Smart TV and Wi-Fi. The wood burning stove provides a welcoming focal point around which to relax and its central position within the room means it can be enjoyed from any angle. Additional facilities include a downstairs cloakroom and toilet separate utility and French windows from the kitchen leading onto the private patio. Plenty of parking also means that you can leave the car behind when heading into the town centre which if you don’t fancy a mile’s walk is just a short bus or taxi ride.\nThe market town of Clitheroe is regarded as the capital of Lancashire’s Ribble Valley and apart from its Norman castle has a great selection of shops bars cafes and restaurants. Other popular towns and villages within the Ribble Valley include Longridge Chatburn Ribchester Waddington and Whalley. With stunning scenery and lots of charming country pubs the Ribble Valley is perfect for walkers and cyclists. The Forest of Bowland which is one of the UK’s designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers over 300 square miles of rural Lancashire and North Yorkshire is right on the doorstep. Other popular walks include Pendle Hill and the Tolkien Trail. The Forest of Gisburn is just 12 miles away.     Our 3rd visit to this homely property. The Granary is spotlessly clean and the open plan living area is great for our party of 6 adults. One of the bedrooms is a bit small, but adequate for a holiday break. The location does mean a car is essential as there are limited shops/facilities within close walking distance, but Clitheroe is a short drive and has all the shops you need

    This is probably the best holiday cottage we’ve stayed in in recent years. From the welcome pack of fresh bread, wine, eggs, biscuits and more to the spotlessly clean rooms and extremely comfortable beds, everything was just about perfect. With Clitheroe just down the road and a number of the Ribble valley’s dining pubs within easy reach, the location was ideal for our trip. We would highly recommend the Granary.

    This was a second visit to the cottages and again we were very happy with the condition and the care that had been taken in preparation for our stay. The facilities offered are excellent and every need is catered for both for the humans and dogs. Our stay was enjoyed the log burner warmed the evenings such that we had a very enjoyable short break.

    We had a lovely weekend here and would absolutely book again. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and full of lush goodies. The cottage itself is tucked away nicely out of view and the facilities for our dog were useful as well. The cottage had pretty much everything we needed apartment from champagne glasses but that is the only minor thing!

    Absolutely fabulous place to stay for a peaceful weekend. So often, holiday lets are missing something (eg corkscrew) leading to a frustrating rush to the local shop. Here the owners thought of everything. It was fantastic and we can’t wait to book again The town is a great place to visit, the locals friendly and helpful. Everyone should come here

    Fabulous cottage - extremely well appointed with lots of lovely touches! It was very comfortable and a great location - you can just about walk into Clitheroe! The welcome pack was amazing - the addition of a pint of milk would have made it perfect!! Would definitely recommend this cottage and we are very likely to return!

    As per previous reviews, this barn is lovely. Its down a private road very near to Clitheroe and the motorway system. Slight drawback was complex TV system for us but that may not bother others. I would definitely recommend it for a stay. The welcome basket was just that...very welcoming.
