I booked this cottage holiday for my family and my brothers family just as the lockdown began to ease. A total of 14 (8 adults and 6 kids) of us and we were going to a cottage holiday for the first time so were a little unsure what to expect. I spoke to Andy (the owner) before my booking and he was very nice. Upon arrival we were greeted by Andy's wife Renata who gave us a warm welcome. She showed us around the house and she was so nice. Everything was as described. The place was huge and well organised. Cottage - very spacious and clean, the bedrooms are big with comfy beds, loads of cupboards space. The kitchen was excellent with 3 ovens, 2 large fridge freezers, dining table, 5 burner gas hob, double sink and loads more. I forgot fully loaded with pans, cutlery, plates, glasses, blenders etc. You get what I mean. Swimming pool - Excellent size pool which is private and exclusive to the cottage. It is not overlooked and a great size. and good depth as well. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool. Actually we all did as it was so nice. Jacuzzi/hot tub - Amazing which comfortably sits 4 adults and a couple of kids. The temperature was so nice and hot, we saw the highest being 40.5 degrees and it was amazing to chill out in. The temperature averages at around 37 degrees which was still very hot. The Jacuzzi has a Bluetooth and can play music which we made good use of. The jets in the Jacuzzi are nice and powerful and can be controlled. Games room - A great detached games room which has a pool table, table tennis table and football table. Full sets of pool and snooker balls and good cues. Lots of table tennis bats and balls. Andy and Renata were very friendly and were always there to help. Andy cleaned the pool and serviced the pool and Jacuzzi ready for us to use the next day. We are going to return to this cottage again soon. See you soon Andy and Renata. Abby and family

We had a great weekend away with the whole family. The house is large and spacious with all you need. The hot tub was a great addition to last time we visited.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Abbot's Farm to celebrate my 60th birthday. We were a mixed group of adults ranging in age from 58-90. We have met together at many houses in the past, but we have never been to a house with so much crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment - which was brilliant!! However, we did find that my Father, who is 90, had to be very careful as he moved around the house as the floors are quite uneven in places and the downstairs bedroom was not suitable for him as it is such a long away from the downstairs bathroom. The temperature in the showers tended to be a little unpredictable but we made good use of the lovely hut tub in the large garden. In the evenings we lit a fire in the Lounge and put a jigsaw out on the coffee table so everyone could enjoy a nice cosy time together with a glass of wine and the dining table was certainly large enough for us all to sit around and enjoy a Chinese and Indian Take Away.

Lovely old cottage with bags of character. Loved the hot tub. Great facilities sky cinema, tumble dryer etc. Some of the house would benefit from modernisation. Loose floor tiles and spindles a bit unsafe. Generally a really nice house welcoming and clean, large and bedrooms great. If you like old properties you’ll appreciate it. Just needs a little tlc in places.

Abbots Farm was ideal in terms of size for our large group of friends and their accompanying children, all rooms being a good size and the best equipped kitchen I have come across, 3 ovens were very usefully cooking pizza for 15. The property is a bit tired an few things broken and all in all needs a bit of tender loving care. The owner was helpful but there were a few things I don’t expect to have to deal with while on holiday.

Abbott's farm was perfect for a big family and friends get together. Sadly one of the main showers drains was blocked .leading to problems with overspill. Andy who owns the farm house very helpful and friendly .

Excellent owner who could not have been more helpful - the hot tub was a great hit with the 8 children in the party! Large kitchen and dining room and so much equipment including 3 ovens! Hope to return!

A great place for a family gathering. The owner was hugely accommodating and went out of his way to setup a few things on our behalf. The hot tub and games room were welcome additions. The house is massive and can hold a large group comfortably. Quirky and comfortable.

We had a 3 generation family gathering here for the weekend. The place is spacious with excellent facilities - we were able to use the pool, hot tub and games room. Andy was very helpful, friendly and flexible. The location is beautiful albeit there is not much in the immediate vicinity, but for us this was not a problem as we were there to meet up with each other from various parts of the UK. Some of the electrics did not seem to work too well (a couple of lamps), but otherwise the kitchen was very well equipped and the bathrooms were clean with decent showers.

A truly exceptional property. Abbotts Farm is the best quipped cottage that we have ever stayed in. The amount of cooking, eating and drinking equipment is huge. Pool, Hot Tub and Games Room were in constant use! The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We have given a "10" for local amenities but we didn't leave the property during the entire long weekend. Really outstanding.

10 Adults, 7 children (ages 3 to 16), and a dog all enjoyed staying at Abbotts Farm this summer. The pool, the hot tub and the games room were in use every day, as was the dishwasher! There is plenty of room for everyone and the children enjoyed the house and the garden; ideal for hide-n-seek type games. For the less active some could play with an X-box whilst others could watch a video in the other lounge. We hardly left the house as we had most of our shopping delivered and in fact some of our party never left the premises. To capture the week one of us wrote a song, a parody of ‘Shotgun’ (‘Time flies by in the Abbotts Farm house’) which was then sung by the children and captured on video in various parts of the house and garden. A good memory of what for some was ‘the best family holiday yet’.

Great house for a large family gathering/celebration. Large garden to be enjoyed by all ages. Pool, hot tub, games room. Large kitchen plus large dining room. Amazing range of crockery, utensils, glasses for all occasions. We all had a great time and the owner, Andy, was extremely helpful and approachable. My grand-daughters want to know when are we going back :-)
