Our second time this year at acorn cottage and just as lovely as the first. Will definitely be booking again soon

A lovely cottage with a thoughtful range of amenities. Derek & Jayne provided a fine basket of groceries including 6 eggs from their own hens. It is a very peaceful and lovely place.

Stunning cottage, had everything and more that you could possibly need. Owners will fantastic people who were very kind. Beautiful location that it is set in with the national trust forest set just behind the cottage. Already looking at going back!

This cottage is a small cottage locate in an isolated area which has a lot of beautiful woods and open grass land to walk in. It is just about the right size for two people with a well fitted kitchen, living room and bathroom down stairs and a converted loft with a double bedroom and separate lounge. The stairs up to the bedroom is tight and care needs to be taken if a bathroom visit is require during the night. Outside is a patio and fenced garden so you can let your dog run around without worrying about it getting out. The cottage has the charm of an old cottage but with all the modern facilities you require for modern life. In the local area there are a lot of pubs that except dogs, however trying to find one that served food on a Sunday evening was a challenge. only two points that would help with the cottage are notes on what can be recycled and how to operate the under floor heating could be put in the welcoming information

Lovely place. Only problems we had were our own making- difficulty with the stairs and garden not Parson Russell proof!

Best cottage we have been too has everything for dog friendly people also for couples on their own as there are lots of interesting places near by.

We had a very enjoyable week here in August, track to get to it was ok for our car & the accommodation is clean & comfortable.

Lovely cottage and location. For me walks on the common were not suitable as I have arthritis and the walks onto the common are up steep inclines. The owners very welcoming and helpful.

Lovely secluded cottage, compact but well set up including secure garden for dogs. Easily accessible walks on Bircher Common and Croft Castle. Pub in Yarborough 20 minute walk away.

Although in a rural setting, Acorn Cottage is ideally situated, being only a short drive from both Leominster and Ludlow. The cottage is very clean and well equipped, including excellent wifi. Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, even providing a very agreeable welcome hamper. We would recommend Acorn Cottage to anyone.

Great relaxing week in beautiful Herefordshire location with added bonus of sunshine. Small but everything we needed. Having two fairly large dogs made us be more organised within the cottage though the secure garden was loved by us all.

A lovely little retreat in the heart of the countryside

Really nice cottage and the renovation was beautifully done, in a lovely location but access down a rutted farm track is not ideal.

Lovely rural location. The cottage was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. Derek and Jayne were friendly hosts and the welcoming goodies were gratefully received. For anyone wanting a lovely rural comfortable break away with amazing local walks, pubs and countryside, you won’t find any better than Acorn Cottage

A very pleasant stay in the beautiful county of Herefordshire, one of the most welcoming holiday cottages we've stopped in, the rolled up towels, and all the everyday essentials, from teabags, coffee, sugar, butter, milk, home made chutneys, jam, fruit crumble, to dish washer tablets, toiletries, flowers, candles, high-end B+B standards, and all at such a reasonable price.
