Loved every second - fabulous location, spacious yet welcoming - would definitely stay here again

Excellent location on West Cliff of Whitby. Comfortable apartment. A chair in the bedroom and a reading lamp in the living room would be useful. Very clean throughout, thank you.

Beautiful property would recommend it. Very comfortable got everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Close to beach and town and the added benefit of a parking space which is hard to find in Whitby.

Beautiful place, everything perfect. Can't find any faults. Love it.

The cottage is in a great location and was plenty big enough for 4 of us. We really enjoyed the stay and will defiantly be looking to book again. The cottage had everything we needed and had the extra bonus of parking.

    Perfect family dog friendly retreat

Best place we've stayed in in Whitby. Spacious, spotless and well-equipped. Biscuit's and milk were a nice touch. Will most definitely return.

A spot on location - parking space just wonderful - excellent location for early morning doggy walks ! Our 2nd visit says it all.

Our second visit to Alice's Place. Highly recommended, all mod cons, nicely furnished. Parking space an added bonus. This is probably our favourite holiday accommodation in the UK.

Location, location, location! Alice's Place is the basement flat in the next house but one to the harbour end of East Terrace. Anyone tall enough could probably see the whalebones through the kitchen/diner window, and it is a short walk to the beach, a short climb from the harbour, so le tout Whitby is within reach. Add to that its own parking at the rear (tight for a larger vehicle) and outside space in 'the area', and its attractions are clear. Inside, there is one step up from the tiny hall to the corridor leading to the k/d, bedroom 2 and the main bathroom (with shower cubicle). The other bedroom (with e/s walk-in shower) is off the hall in the other direction. The kitchen is very well equipped - a few more forks and another jug would be my only suggestions. A couple of lights strong enough to read by in the lounge area would be good too - the ones above the dining table were a struggle for my aging sight! The flat is smartly furnished, the beds are big and comfortable (memory-foam) with crisp sheets, and the overall standard of comfort and cleanliness is high. The only issues I had were (1) that the main bathroom was musty when I arrived - maybe drains? maybe damp? - but I left the door open when I could, which helped, and there may not be a problem in seasons when the heating comes on regularly, and (2) inconsiderate occupants of the upstairs flat clumping across its wooden floors, but they were only an occasional nuisance. Why doesn't someone produce a painted hanging sign saying: 'Wooden floor - shoes at the door!' that downstairs neighbours could gift to such premises? But they were minor inconveniences. I loved Alice's Place, and after weighing up the pluses (location, parking, accessibility, facilities) against the only minus (the cost😱) I've already booked again for next year!

Fantastic flat. Great location. Well equipped. Own parking space at back door which is super helpful in this popular location. Didn’t score a 10 purely because was a little expensive for 2nights for 2 adults and dog, had we had kids or friends with us it would have been good price. Was Steam Punk weekend, which we were not aware of before booking, but that added to the interesting weekend spent wondering around the lovely town.

Excellent facilities !!! A home from home and very tastefully decorated and well maintained .

A wonderful holiday for our second visit to Alice's place. A great base to explore whitby from.

This is one of the best holiday flats that we have ever stayed in. Perfectly located just a hand full of minutes away from the beach, the harbour and the town, it is luxurious with numerous lovely touches throughout. Two very comfortable bedrooms, an excellent bathroom and an additional en-suite, a very well equipped kitchen and a TV that has Netflix which kept our grand children happy in the evenings. We will be booking again.
