We enjoyed our stay at Apple Tree Cottage. Good garden for our dogs which is always a plus for us . Where the cottage is situated is great, walk to Charmouth beach in 10 minutes on a pathway , and 15-20 minutes in the car to Lyme Regis and West Bay , Chideock and Bridport.. Pub is more or less next door, an old pub , not noisy or loud.. chip shop, chemist newsagents and a Nisa all in the same road as the cottaage. We would say that everything you need is close by and all is very convenient .

Beautiful cottage lovely decor and use of a large secluded garden ideal for breakfast and lunch on the decking!! Very near to all facilities too. Only downfall is more hanging space and drawers for clothes in master bedroom as the wardrobes are full of the owners property. Would highly recommend this cottage and will certainly be back!!

Charming and well equipped cottage. Great location for exploring near and far.

Cottage is very well located in a quiet part of the village, close to the beach, pubs and a good local bus service. The sitting room was nice and comfortable, (the grate had not been cleaned out from previous users of the open fire). The kitchen does need upgrading, it has a good oven but only a couple of tatty cupboards and sink unit and for anyone who wants to do total self-catering it lacks adequate cooking utensils and some of the china, etc wasn't totally clean. The larder and wall cupboard was full of the owners own items with no space for food items taken for breakfast, likewise a lot of the wardrobe space in the bedroom was taken up with personal clothing items and bed linens. The super king bed is very comfortable but for Summer doesn't need a 13.5 tog duvet! and there wasn't another lighter tog one to use. Note: the electric shower in the house very temperamental, running either very hot or cold. Overall the house is clean and comfortable and it's understandable that the owner wants to use it from time to time but for a holiday let there are too many personal items left in it with untidy clutter in the cupboards. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, a nice touch on arrival after a poor journey on the A35.

A lovely, well-located and equipped cottage to explore west Dorset and Devon. Met all (but one) of our requirements and we appreciated the lovely welcome pack of bread, eggs, butter, milk and biscuits. Lots of local information available for visitors and a pub next door. Kitchen could be cleaner and we were surprised (but didn’t check beforehand) that the cottage has no internet. This was important to us as international visitors using wifi to communicate with family abroad. All in all, we enjoyed our time in Charmouth and would recommend highly. Would suggest owners install an internet connection.

Excellent accommodation, location and travel access. Perfect for the Dorset Coast and South Devon.

Lovely cottage, well placed for beach, local shops, cafe and pubs. Would like to return during the summer months.

Small cottage hidden in the back alley. Nice and clean. Very comfy bed, much needed after all the fossil hunting. Be aware that this is old cottage so if you are a tall person you will bang your head as the beams on the ceiling are low. Parking is on the street only and next to a pub so it could be problematic (I was lucky). There is also no WiFi.

Great little cottage well located in centre of Charmouth, but quiet. No parking but 24 hour car park for £2 a day nearby.

Excellent. Loved this cottage. 10 mins walk to the beach. Quiet location. Warm and cosy. Well equipped. Everything we needed including a chest full of board games, DVD's, a puzzle book and local information leaflets and magazines.
