Lovely warm cabin in an idealistic place.

Beautiful and peaceful Devonshire countryside. Cabin exceeded our expectations, fully equipped, cooking on an Aga was a great experience, fantastic dog walks, would definitely return!

A beautiful cottage in a picturesque woodland setting. Very well appointed property and extremely comfortable. Access is down an unmade track which may catch low-slung vehicles out. Dogs are very welcome and garden is enclosed with woodland tracks straight from the back gate. Owners dogs don't mix with other dogs so a simple flag system indicating when you are taking your dogs out works well. The local village has no amenities so nearest village shops are about 10 mins on narrow lanes. A very peaceful location with lots of wildlife. Lyn is very welcoming and helpful.

Such a tranquil place. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed walking in the grounds. Whatever the weather this is such an isolated treat. The cabin is extremely spacious and very relaxing. Using the aga was also something that added to the experience. The modern world disappeared for a few days which is exactly what we wanted.

If you want a relaxing, quiet romantic time away then Ash Mill cabin is definitely recommended. Beautiful scenery. Lovely walks. The spaniel loved it as did we. The owner leaves you to it. Lovely weather. Will definitely be back soon!

Excellent place for a chilled break, lovely cabin in lovely woods. Great place for the dogs too with lots of off lead walks for miles around right outside your door. Loads of wildlife just outside the window, even the chance of seeing an otter in the nearby river.. Great place...can't wait to go back !!!!

The cabin was everything we had hoped for for our Christmas break. Lyn, the owner, was helpful and very friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

I booked this break at Ash Mill Cabin for our 38th wedding anniversary. I did contact the owner Lyn to ask if she would put some banners up it I sent some, she was more than happy to do this .When we arrived we were both taken a back when we walked in, there was scones with clotted cream and jam, a beautiful China teapot all ready to make a pot of tea. The kitchen was lit up with fairy lights and the warmth of the area made it so cosy, and as we went into the living room our banners were up and there were 2 glasses and a bottle of prosecco, it was all so perfect. We had a lovely welcome from Lyn the owner, and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect too,our little yorkie just settled in like it was home. We have already said we will be booking up to go again next year, just need to decide which of the seasons we would like to see next. With the beautiful babbling stream and woodland around plus all the different wildlife it was just truly amazing the best we have visited by far.

Lovely location, Lyn was very friendly and welcoming. Cabin was overly hot and the bed was uncomfortable, also the log burner didn’t work properly due to using softwood logs. Saying that, our 2 dogs absolutely loved it!

No amenities for miles but this is all part of the beauty of the surroundings. Beautiful homely cabin, loved the aga, bet it's amazing in winter. The dogs loved the enclosed garden and the walks from the garden down to the stream. Lyn had kindly provided a lovely cream tea upon our arrival and the next day brought us some home grown cherry toms and freshly laid eggs! Would certainly love to visit again. No phone signal or wifi is a bit daunting given the technical age but after the first day it's actually quite refreshing and stress relieving.
