Our holiday was excellent with what was happening in the UK with the coronavirus it did not effect walking our two dogs and meeting the locals. The cottage was spotless and fully equipped with all cleaning products and comfort for staying in doors.

I've given an excellent rating, but if I had to find a 'con', it would be size. The barn is small but, having said that, it is very cleverly designed to make the most of the space. It's perfectly adequate for two people. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and we found everything we needed, including a cover for the sofa and dog towels. The drying cupboard is an excellent idea. There are walks from the door if you don't want to get in the car. We and the two dogs were very comfortable and would be happy to return.

Great accommodation. Small but had everything you might need. Lovely bathroom and really comfy enormous bed. Owners Gordon and Lynn couldn't have been more helpful. Good situation for walking dogs as loads of footpaths and walks in the vicinity and a short drive away. A wealth of information for walkers provided in the barn. Variety of restaurants and take away options in nearby Matlock and Matlock Bath.

Loved it , excellent location , just beautiful ,well equipped cosy and peaceful, the only thing we could have done with ( two damp muddy dogs) was a washing machine

Cottage and owners were absolutely fantastic, lovely village quiet and sleepy,Kingshead pub food was awful ,Barley Mow was okay,we had one meal there, mine was not great but my husband’s meal was better, would have been prepared to eat there again but circumstances didn’t allow, but it’s had some great ratings, just not sure myself, landlady’s “very”not sure of right words to apply, she wasn’t my type, but the lady from our cottage says she is lovely 👍🏻👍🏻Baileys Barn brilliant though!!😊😊

Would Baileys Barn live up to its reviews I wondered. Absolutely it does. We had a lovely warm welcome and the thoughtful gifts were delightful. Lynn's flapjacks were delicious. The barn is tastefully furnished but retains a homely cosy feel. The kitchen is very well equipped and well thought out. There is everything you need. This quiet and peaceful retreat is ideal if you just want to unwind but is also well situated to reach all local attractions. We just loved it.

Had a lovely time this was our second visit every bit as good as the first would highly recommend 😁

Super little cottage, everything you could possibly need and in a beautiful area as well.

    out of 10

A lovely little cottage wonderfully equipped for us and our two dogs. The only drawback is that the living space is small so if you have really wet weather, as we did, then it feels a little cramped. That is the only reason we did not score it a 10. The owners are very friendly and helpful and even sent on a jacket which we left behind. We loved the extras- treats for us and the dogs. The drying cupboard is a great idea.

A wonderful barn in a beautiful quiet location. Everything you need and more including some nice welcome flapjack, wine and chocolates for the humans and treats and balls for the dogs. Lynn and Gordon (hosts) are very helpful and knowledgeable especially if you need ideas of where to visit or eat.
