Bank House Apartment is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside, the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire and Worcestershire. Located on Newnham High Street right next to the historic clock tower, there are some quaint little shops and two pubs in the village. The River Severn is only a stone’s throw away from the apartment and is one of the best places to experience the famous Severn Bore.
For those looking for an adventure, Bank House Apartment has easy access to the Forest Adventure Outdoor Centre, Puzzlewood, Clearwood Caves and the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum. Alternatively, visit the English Heritage’s Goodrich Castle, National Trust’s Round House and Naval Temple, and Norchard Railway Station Museum on the Dean Forest Railway. Monmouth, with its castle, wide high street and good range of shops, and Chepstow Castle, are well worth a visit. There are also walks, golf and mountain biking opportunities available nearby.
