Good location, quirky cottage.
As it is in the centre of York lots of rowdy revellers into the early morning so best rooms for sleeping at the back.
Easy to get anywhere in York on foot.

Our 9th visit! And booked for our 10th.. Fab location, near to all amenities that wonderful York has to offer... Only down side is the main bathroom! This could do with updating, but wouldn't stop us going again and again!! Andrew the host is great!! See you in December 😁

Second year in a row staying at Belfrey Cottage and just as wonderful. Cannot imagine anyone would ever have anything less than a brilliant time here.
3rd time we have stayed here and lovely as ever. Great to lie in bed and listen to the bells. Plenty of walks and everything on hand
Will be back
The holiday was perfect because of the location, especially at night as we all love to party

Owners very flexible about arrival and departure, sofas and beds comfortable, showers powerful, lovely wine left in welcome basket. Fridge and cooker not clean on arrival. Milk in fridge on arrival, but fridge turned off. Lack of instructions for cooker, heating and other things. Didn't appear to have Wi-Fi. Cushions for outside furniture covered in bird muck. Yard unattractive and neglected. Paintwork needed update throughout. Bathrooms needed repairs. Problems shutting and locking doors to bedrooms, bathrooms and external doors. Broken window in master bedroom and noise on street side of house from passers by extremely loud thought the day and prevented a proper sleep in the bedrooms that side at night. Cottage in convenient location for all attractions. Beautiful quirky building. Tasteful decor. Cosy and comfortable. We had a great time during our stay. Cottage was very expensive and should be improved to provide value.
Fantastic location , the minster bells wasn't as noisy as we thought, so don't let this put you off. Loved how the house had character, sloping floors
,wonky walls, the only thing was we couldn't open windows upstairs and was a very warm weekend but again would not put us off from coming again.
