You are only 5 minutes’ walk from the bustling working harbour and sandy beach. This is a perfect location for a seaside holiday for friends and family and ideal for a last minute getaway. The property has been comfortably furnished to provide all you need, the utility room with a sink is a good place to keep your buckets and spades ready for the next day, and there is a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area where you can enjoy your meal and plan the next days activities. Spend a lazy afternoon with a book in the comfortable living room or in the garden area in the summer months with a glass of wine. For that added luxury, toiletries, robes and slippers are also provided. Just across from the cottage is a play area for the children.
Anstruther has lots to offer for everyone, including an award-winning fish and chip shop, local shops, bars, cafés and the Scottish Fisheries Museum. There are boat trips from April to September from the harbour to the Isle of May, the world renowned National Nature Reserve, famous for puffins and seals. There are coastal walks to discover award-winning sandy beaches and coves, picturesque fishing villages on the Fife Coastal Route towards Crail and St Andrews in one direction, and Pitenweem, St Monans and Elie in the other direction, and a regular coastal bus service to return home. Just a short drive along the coast is St Andrews with historic buildings, an excellent selection of restaurants, cafés and shops, and of course its championship golf courses.
