Set in a wing of the owners’ home, the rooms are spacious and boast stunning views from every window. There is a well maintained enclosed garden, with views of the sheep in the adjoining field. Dumfries & Galloway has much to offer, from the rocky and sandy Solway Coast, to the lush green inland forests and hills. Bonshawside Farmhouse is situated in a peaceful rural location, yet within close proximity to the varied attractions in the local area. Visit the many impressive castles and abbeys including Caerlaverock Castle and Sweetheart Abbey, and enjoy a visit to Ellisland Farm, once the home of the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns. Do not miss a trip to the National Nature Reserve at Caerlaverock to discover the picturesque natural landscapes and wildlife. For the more adventurous, try the Mabie 7stanes mountain bike trail with some great singletrack, downhill and uphill. Before leaving this remarkable region, discover Annandale Distillery, which has opened again after closing in 1918, and enjoy a taste of a fine single malt whisky. Beach 4 miles.
