No smoking.\n\n With beautiful rural views Bonshawside Farmhouse is a charming farmhouse located on a working arable cattle and sheep farm in the delightful Dumfries and Galloway countryside. Set in a wing of the owners’ home the rooms are spacious and boast stunning views from every window. There is a well maintained enclosed garden with views of the sheep in the adjoining field. Dumfries Galloway has much to offer from the rocky and sandy Solway Coast to the lush green inland forests and hills. Bonshawside Farmhouse is situated in a peaceful rural location yet within close proximity to the varied attractions in the local area. Visit the many impressive castles and abbeys including Caerlaverock Castle and Sweetheart Abbey and enjoy a visit to Ellisland Farm once the home of the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns. Do not miss a trip to the National Nature Reserve at Caerlaverock to discover the picturesque natural landscapes and wildlife. For the more adventurous try the Mabie 7stanes mountain bike trail with some great singletrack downhill and uphill. Before leaving this remarkable region discover Annandale Distillery which has opened again after closing in 1918 and enjoy a taste of a fine single malt whisky. Beach 4 miles.     Lovely big house with almost everything we needed. Only complaints would be the lounge had an old / stale smell & the window couldn’t be opened. Just didn’t smell clean / fresh the whole time in that room. Nice welcome scones / cream / jam & friendly owner nearby if needed. No visitor book or house manual / info to be found. These would have been helpful

    Lovely farmhouse just off the motorway so very easy to access. Delicious scones as a welcome! Only quibble was the poor WiFi signal, my teenagers were happy to spend evenings sitting in the stairwell but I prefer somewhere more comfortable....

    We had a great time at Bonshawside Farmhouse, there was plenty of room for everyone. I only gave 8 as a location due to the fact you do have to do some travelling to get to see any attractions, but an ideal place if you wish to go walking. Annan is not far for the shops.

    Stayed at bonshawside farm last week , great welcome from owners inc fresh scones and cream , ideal location, beautiful farmhouse very well equipped, immaculate condition throughout, great walks for my dog , tour round the farm was fascinating, the owners should be proud of what there have achieved, great for families, large garden , thank you .
