These two gorgeous properties are delightfully set on the owner’s sheep farm, on the outskirts of Kirkmichael. Set amongst a mixture of woodland and open fields there are views towards the Strathardle Hills and the Pitlochry Hills, with the Cairngorms further northand in the surrounding fields, horses graze peacefully. Both are superbly positioned to take full advantage of the surrounding scenery in this stunning part of Scotland. Stylish and bright with light, contemporary fittings, they have been cleverly designed to make good use of the available space and their warm and cosy interiors ensure comfort throughout the year. Boreland Cabin is an elevated property with a wooden balcony to the front overlooking the attractive gardens. The grounds are a wildlife paradise with red squirrels, deer, woodpeckers and cuckoos regularly seen and heard. Both are within walking distance of the local inn, ideal for a quiet drink or meal. The village of Kirkmichael has a good shop and café and is just 12 miles equidistant from Blairgowrie and Pitlochry, both with much to entertain the visitor – enjoy a play at the theatre, or watch the salmon leap in the fish ladder. In autumn, the Enchanted Forest is a big attraction and the Caledonian Etape attracts cyclists from all over during May. The area surrounding Kirkmichael is a walker’s paradise, with over 10 miles of waymarked paths round the village as well as being part of the Cateran Trail – a 64 mile circular walking route through some of the best scenery in Scotland. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

The cabin was spotlessly clean and in very good condition. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing holiday. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet rural location to base their holiday from.

Spent a couple of nights at Boreland Farm Cabin when we visited Blair Horse Trials. Very relaxing and quiet location. We enjoyed watching the red squirrel running up and down the tree while sitting on the veranda.

Lovelly Cabin in idylic location, very homely everything you would need and more. Blairgowrie and Pitlochry only 20mins away by car. Only small issue Wi-Fi not as strong as could have been could not get online at night older children bored. However wouldn't stop us going back.

Lovely cabin in relaxing, secluded surroundings. Close to the small village with a couple of places to eat, but you definitely need a vehicle to get to any of the larger towns. The drive to Pitlochry is beautiful! The cabin was immaculately kept, homely and modern decor and everything we needed for a comfortable stay (travel cot, iron, ironing board, hoover, hairdryer, kitchen utensils etc- everything you need is there!). The owners have really thought about everything to make you have a comfortable stay. The owners were lovely- very welcoming and helpful. They showed us round the property and gave us all the information we needed. Would definitely return here!
