Shower room with toilet. \n Multi-fuel burner in living room initial fuel inc. NSH elec bed linen and towels inc. DVD. Electric Range. Wmachine and freezer in garage. Lawned garden with patio and furniture. Parking 2 cars. No smoking.\n This charming wooden detached bungalow is situated in the small hamlet of Lendalfoot 6 miles from the seaside town of Girvan with harbour shops pubs and restaurants and boasts stunning views over the sea to Ailsa Craig. Towering over the Carleton cottages are Carleton and Balsalloch Hills rising steeply from the shore 11th-century castle ruins. To the south of the hamlet is an excellent off road picnic area with sandy beach and excellent views up and down the coast. When the tide is out you can walk out to the rocks and see seals swimming and basking. An ideal area to explore the scenic countryside of Ayrshire Dumfries and Galloway and a popular area for outdoor pursuits.     Lovely home rosemary showed us around and was very helpful the cottage had everything that u could want and more and the views from there was amazing x

    A fantastic cottage a real home from home as a self catering stay you really don't need to take a lot with you, Tesco and Sainsbury plus more do home deliveries to this cottage. The view is stunning from the living room window and it's just a few strides from the beach. A really comfy stay with a lovely host. Thank you Rosemary

    This is a difficult review to write because the owner was very welcoming and had tried to cater for everything we could possibly need. However, the cottage wasn't clean and it was difficult to live amongst somebody else's clutter. The kitchen had a lot of greasy cookery books out on display and the cooker hood was very grimy. Every concievable surface had something on it - including a row of greasy glass pasta jars and oil. The skirtings were grimy, particularly in the bathroom and behind the toilet was grim. The worst of the dirt was behind the chest of drawers in the bedroom where we had to reach down to plug on our chargers. In 2015 the cottage was graded as 3* but it needs to be reinspected and reviewed.
