    Entrance door only opened halfway, kitchen mixer tap showered worktop when opened, although was promptly fixed by maintenance man the following day, he also had to tune in a TV for us but found it impossible to tune the second set, which cost us most of our first days holiday. Numerous lightbulbs not working, downstairs toilet bowl covered in urine, guttering over entrance door leaking badly when raining so we had to walk through a shower to enter or exit, rodent problem upstairs as evidenced by droppings in store cupboard and landing.

    The cottage is very close to the A1 which is great for access to various attractions but traffic noise impinged a little on an otherwise peaceful location. A few things were not provided in the property, which was inconvenient: dishwasher tablets, bin liners and kitchen roll. This aside, it’s a lovely place, comfortable and nicely furnished.

    Well equipped kitchen - would have appreciated a couple of dishwasher tablets as had to buy some especially. Only bad point is a couple of things were left by previous people which I would have expected the cleaner to have got rid of...(opened cereal packet and an open bag of jelly sweets) Comfortable beds and lovely size bedrooms with master en suite. PS - Shower was lovely and powerful. Amazing view out to Lindisfarne yet only seconds away from the A1. Peaceful surroundings and thoroughly lovely to see and be amidst the wildlife.

    Lovely cottage in an excellent position to see the Northumberland coast and countryside. Also close to Scottish Borders and the beautiful coast at St Abbs. The views from the lounge and terrace across to holy island are lovely.

    Great location, nearest local amenities good, Berwick very close for bigger shopping. Lots to see and do within shortish drives. Cottage very comfortable, good heating and lots of hot water. Outside area needs tidying and weeding. Kitchen needs some more chopping boards. However overall would recommend for sure.

    We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly stay here again, only one disappointing was the grass tennis court grass was too long so we did not get to play tennis, but everything else was lovely.

    Really great holiday cottage, with lovely furnishings and very well equipped. Wonderful view across to the sea and Lindisfarne. Only improvement would be the addition of at least a hand-held shower over the bath in the main bathroom.
