A great holiday house in a central location, ideal for a family holiday. Easy to walk into town. Beds were comfortable, rooms well appointed. Some minor items could do with being checked and replaced.

We found the cottage very clean and the beds very comfortable, and all in all had a very pleasant stay. We didn't find the sofas very comfortable - especially as we are not very tall and the seats were very deep. As there were only two sofas, it would have been tight for space if there had been six people staying. This however is only a minor complaint about what was for us a very enjoyable stay. In the cottage details under 'Facilities' it did say that a welcome pack would be provided. There was no welcome pack, although coffee, tea and sugar were all provided in containers on the kitchen worktop. Does this constitute a welcome pack? We could also have done with more instructions on disposal of rubbish and recycling.

An excellent modern house built in a traditional style. Very clean with nice decor. Location is great if you like walking or cycling, there are marked paths over the viaduct into Whitby, to Ruswarp, and the other way to Robin Hood's Bay, etc. Lovely view from the rear patio over the moors and front looks across to the viaduct

Comfortable cottage but a Grab rail in the shower would help the less able person getting in and out. Superb views over the moors at the back and lovely views of the viaduct from the front. If you like walking there are easy walks into Whitby via the viaduct and into Ruswerp also

Had an issue with the central heating, sorted so quickly l was impressed. Would say that although it is advertised as for 6 persons the sofas would only comfortably seat 4, we were a party of 3 so it was fine for us, everything else provided for up to 6. Having said that would definitely stay again, such a super location!
