This lovely and quaint detached cottage, surrounded by gentle moorland, is located in the tiny village of Rhulen. It is a perfect spot for walking, cycling, fishing, horse-riding or for anyone who is just looking to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Stepping inside you’re welcomed into the open-plan living area, which boasts a fabulous wood burner to keep you cosy on cooler evenings and creates a warm ambience for much-cherished quality time. The cottage also offers two comfortable double beds alongside an additional single bed for flexible sleeping arrangements, all ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Outside there is a large enclosed garden which is great for letting the kids and dogs run around. There are outstanding views and walks on the moorland hills above the cottage.
The market town of Builth Wells, 9 miles away, hosts plenty of attractions at the Royal Welsh Showground throughout the year. The literary town of Hay-on-Wye, 10 miles away, has an abundance of bookshops, coffee shops and boutiques. It makes a lovely day out for all the family, not forgetting the famous Hay Festival at the end of May, with lots of well-known guest speakers and entertainment to enjoy.
The Brecon Beacons National Park is 23 miles away and those looking for a challenge can climb Pen-y-Fan and admire the fantastic views from the top. Bridge End Cottage, however, is ideal if you want to get away from it all, though the added touch of recently installed Wi-Fi allows you to keep in touch and share your adventures.
