Our family had a very enjoyable and comfortable holiday here. The cottage is beautifully and comfortably furnished with plenty of space for an extended family to spread out, a well equipped kitchen, a large, safe garden and luxurious hot tub. It is well situated to easily travel to many very interesting places in Kent. We can highly recommend the food at the Black Lion pub in nearby Appledore. We had a great week!

The cottage and gardens were beautiful, although it's starting to look a little tired in some places. The hot tub was great and it was really peaceful. The parking was tight for two vehicles let alone 3 and was a challenge driving on and off the drive.

We paid so much for this and expected it to deliver. Room not made up. Repairs to a toilet whilst we were there. Hot tub not ready. Gardeners present and not able to have privacy we had paid for. No info about walks or places to eat etc. Bath didn't drain. Crockery unclean.

Six of us stayed at the cottage to celebrate my 60th. The cottage certainly has the wow factor and blew us all away when we arrived. With nothing to see but fields it is in a very relaxing location. We did not have to worry too much if we made some noise or if my dog barked as there was no-one to disturb, so we could definitely kick back and relax. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. We spent most of our time in the garden as the weather was wonderful but wish we had taken insect repellent as some us got bitten quite a lot. The jacuzzi is large and 6 of us fitted comfortably. The garden is lovely and big, full of mature flowers and lovely smelling roses, we watered the garden everyday and even deadheaded some of the flowers. We used the BBQ which is not gas, this was fine for us as we prefer charcoal. There is a Tesco supermarket 15 minutes away and also a very good Chinese takeaway which we used. There is nothing bad I can say about Britten cottage and just wish we could have stayed longer and we will love to stay again in the future.
