Adjacent to one another and next to the owner’s home they have been thoughtfully renovated offering a good feeling of space with high vaulted beamed ceilings and open plan living space. Brook Barn has a cosy wood burner and Meadow Barn is accessed through the former stablefarmyard and has a very rustic feel and a unique carved staircase made out of local trees and with iron railings to look like the branches of the tree The first floor galleried bedroom area with single bed gives the impression of sleeping in a tree house Both properties have a ground floor double bedroom and a first floor double bedroom with a single Z-bed for additional sleeping for children. Lovely cottage. Enclosed garden allowed us to relax while the dogs could play without escaping.. The cottage is a short drive to anywhere in the New Forest, so easily accessed. Because this is away from pubs etc, an update to Netflix would be a welcome addition for the quiet evenings.

Excellent place to stay for visiting New forest, Brook Barn was very dog friendly, we loved the horses all around, downside we had problems with the boiler and outside light owner was away but got the boiler sorted, some things in the cottage are very worn and could easily be replaced, I think with a few small things being replaced the cottage would be worth the money, the cake and milk and flowers were a nice touch also treats for the dogs.

Beautiful, cosy and well-equipped cottage brilliantly located next to open countryside with excellent walks right on the doorstep. The rooms were all bright and airy, and the whole cottage was clean and fresh. The owner was friendly and welcoming, helping us to settle in quickly and easily. The garden was sunny and private and this really was the perfect base for our week in the New Forest; we'll be booking again.

a great centre for the new forest and ideal for dogs.

Had a lovely time in Brook Barn. Had a slight issue where we didn’t have heating or hot water all day, but Sarah sorted it as soon as she could. The place could’ve been a lot cleaner, but we cleaned as we went along. The ponies blocked our path whenever we left the barn, but they were lovely to see.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 day break - the New Forest is certainly a different world from London - fabulous countryside and the braying of the ponies. Fabulous shower!

A great cottage, I would say a little expensive compared with others. Great location for walking or driving to the coast. We will probably return at some stage.

The location is perfect for us. The cottage is just starting to get a bit tired.
