Very comfy property, nice and warm. Plenty to do.

From the moment we arrived, until we left it felt like home , we actually didn’t want to leave . Superbly equipped and the views were amazing , we had deer every morning and pheasant. The welcome pack was a lovely touch , to arrive to a basket of goodies , scones , clotted cream and jam and a fresh soda loaf , the dog treats were the icing on the cake for Reg ! We will definitely return .

What a wonderful week the property was lovely and such a peaceful location. We sat watching Deer, Foxes and even an Owl from the dining table. Have booked again for next year can't think of a better place to go for our Honeymoon.

We have just spent a week at Brookside Cottage (3 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 2) and we would thoroughly recommend a stay there. Sitting in the garden was so peaceful (even the 7 year old said how peaceful it was!). Sitting in the garden or at the dining table we watched deer running around in the paddock at the back. Over the gate at the front we watched horses, Shetland ponies and cows go by. The Cottage is so homely and has everything that you could possibly need. The location is good - 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Burley and about 20 minutes drive to Highcliffe Beach and about 20 minutes drive to Paultons Park (home of Peppa Pig World). We also went to the New Forest Show which was brilliant. If we have another holiday in the New Forest we will definitely be coming back to Brookside Cottage.

Totally loved this area - the scenery outside the cottage is stunning and it’s so peaceful - we had deer on the garden and horses walking past the house. The house was perfect for our group - 2 adults and 3 small children and we had lots of space. Welcome pack was great and Julia was a perfect host and very responsive. Garden is fabulous - so much space for the children to enjoy. Kitchen/ diner was great with the children and very spacious lounge and hallway. Sofas in lounge do need replacing as you’re very low down and could do with some firmer pillows - these are minor points though and I would highly recommend this cottage as a great base to discover the new forest. We had great days out at Paultons Park (peppa pig world), Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard and Mudeford Beach. Lymington is also lovely. We will definitely be back to this area.

We booked the cottage as a base for our son’s wedding. It was a perfect choice with plenty of space and superbly equipped. The garden is large and easily accommodated a family gathering the day after the wedding. The location is stunning with views across the forest and walks from the cottage. Burley is walkable in under 30 minutes. We rarely return to the same place but think we will be back here in the future.

The location is lovely and if you are prepared to 'rough it' this may be the cottage for you. Yes there are 8 beds and 8 chairs around the table, but the facilities for 8 stop there. We went as a four and struggled with the facilities. There is one tiny, very tiny bathroom. The lounge is small with two very uncomfortable sofas (very low and well past their useful life) which at a push would seat 5 or 6 small people. Bean bags are provided for the remainder. There is a single oven, plus a warming oven, a full size fridge and a tiny freezer. The best way to describe this cottage is very tired. p.s. the bedrooms have slopping ceilings and someone of normal height has to stoop and in one case bend almost double to get into bed.
