Had a lovely week and the weather was very kind to us. The cottage was clean on arrival, although I turned off the plug in room fragrance things as the smell triggered a migraine. The single room is a lot smaller in real life, than it appears in the photos and my 16 year old found it rather tight, so would probably suit a younger child better. Both bathrooms were a good size and very clean. The main bedroom was large, the bed was fairly comfortable, the duvet was far too heavy for the summer, and we went an bought a sheet to sleep under! The kitchen is well equipped but doesn't have a dishwasher which is a shame. We enjoyed the garden space with the summer house and spent many evenings just watching the sheep and looking at the beach. The bar-be-que in the corner needs to go as it is rusty and very dirty. The beach is stunning and was nearly empty every day. We swam in the sea and it seemed to be safe, there isn't a lifeguard or flags. The walk down to the beach was fine, but is obviously up hill to return to the cottage and it felt a long way in the heat, carrying wetsuits etc. There isn't a village shop, but there are several options in the surrounding villages. The local pub is fine for traditional pub grub, they do allow dogs inside the pub and even though we have dogs ( left at home) we did get a bit annoyed with barking and begging dogs while we were trying to eat and you need to watch where you walk when entering or leaving the pub. We all enjoyed our holiday, apart from a few niggles and would come back again. The area is totally unspoilt and not too busy.

What an amazing place. This cottage delivers in all fronts. The peace and quiet were just what we needed. Asking in the Review about local amenities is unfair - there are none, but we knew this. that is why we booked it. There is no local shop etc. but that was its charm. It is at the end of a single lane track. The views from the lounge of the sheep in the fields, dunes and beach were magnificent. The walks from the cottage were great. This is rural accommodation at its best.

Overall cottage is to a good standard but improvements would enhance this eg. We all felt that the bath towels were quite small, it would be nice to have a matching set of four of items such as dinner plates, mugs etc. Window dressings were very dated. Beds very clean and very comfortable. Views are stunning and the summer house is lovely. It was nice to be able to walk from the accommodation. Local pubs are great too. Night skies are spectacular. Owner is lovely and did all she could to make our holiday special.

We had a brilliant x’mas at the cottage .. was wonderfully decorated with x’mas tree and the warm log burner in the living room, it was a real treat over the week. The view from the living room over the ocean was increadible and peaceful ... wonderful hosts and everything was taken care of including a great welcome pack with goodies for the kids as well! There are limited shops nearby but a short drive will get you to a convient store ... wonderful beaches nearby and we loved going horse riding sessions are nearby stables ... overall a wonderful stay and will come again for sure ... maybe a summer break next time ..

Absolutely outstanding, clean and spacious property with stunning views of the Gower coast. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again. Having to really scrape the barrel for any real criticism but maybe a shelf within the shower cubicle and an outside tap would have been useful.
