Absolutely loved our stay in this lovely cottage. Lovely attentive hosts, baked us bread and left goodies for us. Being able to have our dogs with us was great. 2 log burners kept us all cozy with a great supply of logs. We enjoyed the hot tub and will definitely return.

We arrived at the cottage on Friday 24th Jan to a warm welcome, some homemade bread and goodies were waiting for us,ice was waiting for us in the freezer ready. I had ordered some cupcakes which were also waiting our arrival. The fires ready for lighting and loads of logs, the cottage is a real delight. The real treat was to come later when our meal arrived at 7 o'clock Steak, yummy wedges peppercorn sauce and salad the Fish came with vegetables and wedges and for afters we had sticky toffee pudding and custard and chocolate brownies with ice cream. These were all homemade and delicious! There are different menus to try we were spoilt for choice. You have to try the archery and the shooting, Nigel is very patient and very calm with an abundance of knowledge we enjoyed every minute staying here, couldn't wish for better hosts. Scenery is stunning and there is plenty to see. The time went so fast we wish we had booked for a longer stay, definitely hope to go back and see the new build which is going to be incredible. Good luck to Maz and Nigel you so deserve to do well with the attentive service you provide. This is a lovely warm welcoming cottage with a heart, don't hesitate to come here.

Had a lovely New Year week at Burrills View. Did plenty of walking with the dog, (at least 8 miles per day), hence, the boot room attached to the entrance is perfect for the muddy boots etc and the hot tub was welcomed at the end of the day. On arrival there was a welcome pack of delicious home made produce and basic supplies including bread, Jam & butter, eggs & milk. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and warm and is very homely feeling to it and there were plenty of logs for the wood burners (most places we've stayed we have had to buy logs). The owners Maz & Nigel live close by, they are very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive and nothing is too much trouble. They offer a home made meals service from a set menu which they deliver to the door at a time of your choice. We had the beef stew and apple crumble, which were delicious. Also they made us a freshly made loaf, after eating the one we had on arrival, lovely. The nearest pub is dog friendly (about 20 minute walk) over the hill behind the cottage or a 5 minute drive. Craven Arms is about 2 miles away with all the amenities of a small town.

A great stay for all the family! A nice touch of a homemade loaf, butter and jam with Raspberry vodka on arrival. Loved the log fire and a huge supply of logs. The hot tub was amazing! Great walks nearby and this property has everything you need. The only thing I would say to asthma and hay fever sufferers is take plenty of antihistamines as the cushions etc are full of feathers. Other than that a great stay!

We can highly recommennd Burrills View. On arrival there was a welcome pack of delicious home made produce and basic supplies including bread, Jam & butter, eggs & milk - plenty for breakfast for five the following morning. Both fires were made and ready to be lit on arrival. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and warm and has a real homely feeling to it. One bonus is the boot room attached to the entrance which makes removal of muddy footwear, wet coats etc a much easier task. Its also invaluable for keeping wet dogs in whilst they dry out. The owners Maz & Nigel live close by, they are friendly and helpful without being intrusive and nothing is too much trouble. They offer a home made meals service from a set menu which they deliver to the door at a time of your choice. These meals are absolutely delicious, as good as anything you will get in a good pub or restaurant, there is plenty, all home cooked, well presented and excellent value. It was lovely to spend a day walking in the local hills, arrive back at the cottage in time for a soak in the hot tub before sitting down to a wonderfully rich beef stew with dumplings followed by a fantastic lemon meringue pie. On other nights we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and also the Sirloin Steak - both were outstanding (Home made potato wedges to die for!). We highly recommend that you try the meals during your stay. Nigel also offers a shooting experience using rifles firing at various targets, apples and tins, on part of their land. Again we highly recommend this. We did it as a group of five, Nigel is knowledgeable and informative and pitches the activity at just the right level, bringing out the competitive streak in everyone - great fun! The hot tub is another bonus which is always ready to soak away any stresses from the day - we used it Every day. Maz and Nigel own most of the land surrounding the cottage and they are happy for you to walk yourselves and your dogs anywhere including a wonderful area of woodland and a riverside meadow. The nearest pub is dog friendly about a 30 minute walk over the hill behind the cottage or a 5 minute drive. Craven Arms is about 2 miles away with all the amenities of a small town. We will definitely be returning to Burrills View next year.
