We can highly recommennd Burrills View. On arrival there was a welcome pack of delicious home made produce and basic supplies including bread, Jam & butter, eggs & milk - plenty for breakfast for five the following morning. Both fires were made and ready to be lit on arrival. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and warm and has a real homely feeling to it. One bonus is the boot room attached to the entrance which makes removal of muddy footwear, wet coats etc a much easier task. Its also invaluable for keeping wet dogs in whilst they dry out. The owners Maz & Nigel live close by, they are friendly and helpful without being intrusive and nothing is too much trouble. They offer a home made meals service from a set menu which they deliver to the door at a time of your choice. These meals are absolutely delicious, as good as anything you will get in a good pub or restaurant, there is plenty, all home cooked, well presented and excellent value. It was lovely to spend a day walking in the local hills, arrive back at the cottage in time for a soak in the hot tub before sitting down to a wonderfully rich beef stew with dumplings followed by a fantastic lemon meringue pie. On other nights we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and also the Sirloin Steak - both were outstanding (Home made potato wedges to die for!). We highly recommend that you try the meals during your stay. Nigel also offers a shooting experience using rifles firing at various targets, apples and tins, on part of their land. Again we highly recommend this. We did it as a group of five, Nigel is knowledgeable and informative and pitches the activity at just the right level, bringing out the competitive streak in everyone - great fun! The hot tub is another bonus which is always ready to soak away any stresses from the day - we used it Every day. Maz and Nigel own most of the land surrounding the cottage and they are happy for you to walk yourselves and your dogs anywhere including a wonderful area of woodland and a riverside meadow. The nearest pub is dog friendly about a 30 minute walk over the hill behind the cottage or a 5 minute drive. Craven Arms is about 2 miles away with all the amenities of a small town. We will definitely be returning to Burrills View next year.

Lovely property with very welcoming owners. Nice welcome touches and an introductory tour of the land. My children loved the woods and the stream. My only negative comment is the main bed is a bit uncomfortable.

This isn't just a rental cottage, it's a fully catered for 5* holiday! The owners offer freshly cooked restaurant quality food delivered to your door. There are loads of menu choices and it is all prepared by a qualified and experienced chef. It is so reasonable too! Not only is the cottage beautiful and spacious but it has been fitted out to a high standard, making the beds very comfortable and meaning you have everything you could possibly need for your holiday! (a selection of flip flops to use around the hot tub and utensils such as a garlic press and ice cream scoops in the kitchen for example!). There are plenty of games, books and DVDS. The hot tub was spotlessly clean and fits 6 people and there are lovely walks nearby. If you want something else to do then I highly recommend archery and shooting which the owners can facilitate for you. It's very affordable for a group to take part and such good fun, we went back for a second session! Nigel and Maz are the perfect hosts. They have something really special on offer here so stop your search and get it booked! My group of girlfriends will all be returning separately with our families.

Absolutely wonderful cottage with amazing hot tub. Beautifully clean with everything we could have wanted to hand. Owners were so friendly and the walk to the pub was a must. The horses were brilliant! Craven arms has everything you could want and the dogs were at home. Plenty of logs for the wood burners with both fires set. We had a wonderful holiday thanks very much. We will return!

Our hosts were second to none and were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We were shown around their private wood and lovely walks were pointed out. We took advantage of the huge stock of logs and had cosy roaring fires. We also had dinner delivered to our door, which was hot, delicious and coooked perfectly. The only thing we would suggest is that a cosier sofa would make all the difference for snuggling up together after long walks and a dip in the hot tub. One of the most fabulous holiday cottages we have experienced in terms of thoughtful touches and little extras. Highly recommended!

A wonderful mix and mach of the last 50 years of fashion, some parts of the cottage has really modern and up-market bits, others still has original 60's and 70's elements. Very fast road right next to cottage, keep kids and dum dogs away. Landlords are happy to cook for you and even provide a menu, really nice touch. Massive amount of logs provided for log burners. Upgrade the bed in the master room to a king size and put something on the wooden decking to stop it being so very slippery and I will be reaching for the 10 next time. But all in all a wonderful week had and we will be going back (if they will have us!).

Absolutely loved our stay at Burrills view. The cottage has everything you need including a hot tub! The owners were friendly and super helpful and own fields and woodland surrounding the property which the dog loved exploring especially the river at the bottom! We will definitely stay again!

Excellent communication, and welcome. Lovely welcome gift. On hand if needed, but not intrusive. Cosy log burner for those autumnal evenings. Perfect for a celebration weekend with family.
