The adjacent Scots pine woodland is a haven for birds and red squirrels and a cacophony of bird song often greets you as you step outside. In its rural setting on the Skye of Curr road on the outskirts of the small Highland village of Dulnain Bridge Caberfeidh is easily accessible and is just a short drive from the larger towns of Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore. Whatever your passion whatever the season the Cairngorms have something for everyone. There is no shortage of space to find your own tranquil picnic spot set against the spectacular scenery of the mountains. Caberfeidh is well placed for exploring further afield too in little more than an hour’s drive you can be dolphin watching at Chanonry Point on the Moray Coast or exploring Royal Deeside on the other side of the Cairngorms. After an active day you can look forward to returning to Caberfeidh for a relaxing evening by the woodburner. Grantown-on-Spey with its shops cafés bars and restaurants 3 miles. Restaurant 1 mile. Warm, (useful in winter), comfortable so long as you're OK with low settees, owners helpful, so an excellent base for exploring Speyside - north-eastwards towards the sea or southwards towards Aviemore and the Cairngorms.

A lovely little cottage in a beautiful location right next to stunning woodland walks. The log burner was a great addition to our winter holiday and the shower far exceeded what we expected for a little cottage in a small highland village - it was really powerful and wonderfully hot! (The bathroom has been re-fitted since the current photos). The wildlife is exceptional and we saw three (possibly four) badgers as well as a multitude of birds. There are lots of great local walks to be found and the cottage contains a folder full of suggestions. Our only comment would be that it would have been very helpful to have had all fire wood included (obviously reflected in the price) especially as we were in a hire car and so a bit sensitive about what we were lugging around in the car! There is, however, a very well stocked small place (The Heather Centre) just down the road that sells logs among other things. Thank you for an excellent stay!

Perfect place to stay and explore the Cairngorm National Park and further afield to the coast and Inverness. Great facilities, quality restaurant close by at The MuckRach and also at Anderson's in Boat of Garten. Loads to do that would suit all tastes.

Cosy, well equipped cottage, a home from home. The location is perfect for exploring the Cairngorms, walking, wildlife etc. The garden itself and nearby woodland has excellent wildlife, we had badgers every night and saw birds and red squirrel. Also enjoyed the dark skies view of the stars on clear nights. Likely to stay again.
