Beadnell is a popular holiday destination and offers local facilities including a well-stocked village shop and family friendly pubs serving good food. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach, which Beadnell Bay is renowned for, is within a gentle stroll from Carmel. This is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops with horse-riding, fishing and golf on the links close by, these being only a sample of the many amenities available in this popular location. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic fortress and commands the power and presence of the seasoned television set it regularly becomes. Holy Island, known as the birthplace of Christianity and the site of Lindisfarne Castle – can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy! Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden – a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe!

The cottage was in an ideal location. Unfortunately some of the equipment was below par given what we had paid. Most frustrating were the dead coffee pot and corkscrew . Nobody seems to check equipment between lets

This was our 2nd visit to Beadnell as we love the area. The beach is amazing. Carmel is a lovely home and in a great location. Only slight negative was the housekeeping felt this could have been better but overall a nice property.

Great place to stay in a great location. Would definitely recommend it. Stylish decor with good quality bedding and towels. If you want to stay in the log burner makes it really cosy . Plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans .

House was superb and the beach was practically on the doorstep. Beadnell is a perfect base to walk to neighbouring villages and for visiting Northumbria. Looking forward to visiting again.

Lovely cottage - well equipped and comfortable. Only downside is it's not very private. (And it could benefit from a sound bar on the tv and something to play music on - but otherwise it's great). Beadnell is nice - well stocked shop, lovely Bistro and a local pub. Great beach.

We had a wintry week staying in this modern open plan home, just a stones throw from the incredible beach at Beadnell. There's not a lot round there at all but we liked that. Lots of great beach walks and tons of places to explore especially castles. The best thing about the place for us, was the proximity to the beach.

Loved our November short break there. Pretty much right on the beach, everything you could want in the house. Enjoyed using the log burner every night. Nice local shop, pub and cafe and plenty more 5 minutes drive away in Seahouses. Looking forward to hopefully staying again!
