The owners have exceeded expectations. Cedar lodge was peaceful, relaxing with all the home comforts you need while overlooking unspoilt scenery. The pictures do not do it justice. An excellent place to unwind .

Cedar Lodge was very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Neil and Caraline were there to meet us and help with our luggage. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt right at home straight away. There was a lovely unexpected welcome pack. The outdoor area was great especially as we had very good weather.

This is exactly how all self catering should be done. A lovely warm and friendly welcome from the owners and luxury accommodation both inside and out. A good quality welcome pack was provided and Neil & Caroline were keen to know if we had any suggestions for improvement ( We didn't) We had a great holiday and hope to visit again in the future.

A perfect 10 from us. Warm welcome from the owners, great views and access to the (2) terraces from all the rooms, excellent indoor and outdoor furniture, really well equipped with everything you might need for a self-catering break, and a very generous welcome pack. We’d never been to East Sussex before and found plenty of interesting places to visit within an hour’s drive.

Exceptional holiday home, superb hosts always on hand if you needed anything, but just about everything supplied. There is nothing they hadn’t thought of. Very comfortable and extremely relaxing. Perfect for our needs.

Cedar Lodge is wonderful in every way. Neil & Caroline are the perfect hosts and do everything possible to make your stay a holiday to remember. This is our third stay here and it certainly won’t be our last.

Highly recommended, we like peace and quiet and this holiday delivered. Superb view from the patio, with ducks and geese passing by between the ponds, rabbits and hares in the field and not forgetting the barn owl swooping over our heads at night. Shopping is a short drive and plenty of places to see and visit. Only downside was the lack of local footpaths

I am not sure what to add to the other excellent reviews of this property. For a quiet week to get away from it all it was perfect. Well appointed, with everything you could hope for, Caroline and Neil have created a beautiful retreat in the country. They could not have been more helpful and generous with their time. The pictures do not do justice to the wonderful view, particularly the sunsets. I will definitely be returning

In the hamlet of Cowbeech, Cedar Lodge is a relaxing and very comfortable property. At the bottom of the owners garden, there are uninterrupted views across fields. The lodge itself is specified to a high standard; the welcome pack is a nice touch. Our stay coincided with Storm Erik which meant we stayed inside the lodge more than we had planned, but even with the rain and wind, it was still pleasant to sit outside under the veranda (suitably wrapped in the provided blanket) to read a book in silence and take in the fresh air. The owners, Caroline and Neil, were excellent hosts: due to exceptional circumstances, we not only arrived much later than planned, but we also needed to have a third adult put up for the night! Caroline and Neil could not have been more helpful in providing an airbed, pillows and bedding. Would definitely consider re-booking, especially during a period of good weather - as mentioned, the views are lovely, the setting is peaceful, and the lodge is very comfortable. An excellent option as a base for exploring Sussex as well as simply relaxing.

This is a very ,very nice cottages. A beautiful conversion in a very private setting, with views over the countryside. Spotlessly clean and everything you could think of is there. Very friendly, welcoming owners and a more than large welcoming pack. Good spot for visiting this part of the country. Despite the snow, rain and cold, we had a very pleasant stay. We have to come back in another season!

This was our second time at Cedar Lodge and it won’t be our last. This is the cleanest, most comfortable and beautifully equipped cottage we have stayed in. The overall location is well situated for coast and country with good walks from the door and when you get back from your activities you have the peaceful views from the lovely patio with really great sunsets.

What a fabulous place, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was beautiful, well laid out and with everything you could possible need. The patio and views were beautiful, lovely to sit out in the late summer sun. The welcome pack was exceptional and unexpected. There are plenty places of interest to visit, Rudyard Kiplings home being one of our favourites. The owners Neil and Caroline are lovely, they made us very welcome, the cottage is a credit to them and we would like to wish them every success. Thank you for a very enjoyable and relaxing week. Lynn and Steve.

What a fantastic place to stay! We stayed for one week in September and wished we had booked two. The Lodge is beautiful inside and out and everything you need and more has been thought of, all for your comfort. The surroundings are lovely and very peaceful. Even though the pub is near we never heard anything from there. You are very near to places to visit and there’s a shop, post office and Chinese takeaway about a mile away. There’s a welcome pack on arrival with things you wouldn’t expect and the owners are very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. To be honest the pictures do not do it justice it’s a truly beautiful place. This is one of the best places we have stayed and will definitely go back.

Cedar Lodge was the best holiday accommodation we have had.
