The large lawned areas to the front and rear of the property provide excellent outdoor space, perfect for parties or family groups, along with a private hot tub and garden furniture. Newtown is one of the largest towns in Powys and sits on the banks of the River Severn, and the Montgomeryshire Canal. The town plays host to a number of events and festivals during the year, and has a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants, and its own small theatre. Nearby attractions include Powys Castle, Gregynog Hall, Glansevern Hall and gardens, and the Andrew Logan Sculpture Museum. For those looking for adventure, there is quad biking, paint balling and horse riding nearby, along with plenty of golf courses, and of course there is easy access to Shropshire and the west Wales coastline.

This was our 4th visit to Cefnaire cottage and once again was faultless. There are no complaints from our family. The cottage has everything you could want and more. Thankyou.

We enjoyed our 12 days at this cottage. It suited everyone, with two sitting rooms it enabled us to have a quiet room, whilst the men had the other room to talk. Love to be back sometime. We enjoyed the hot tub too

Had a brilliant weekend in this cottage. Nice and clean and plenty of space. Only issue was we were unaware we needed to get our own cleaning equipment (sponges, bin bags etc). But other than that, wonderful place, only took 15 minutes to walk into the centre of town too.

We had a great time there recently, for a family 60th birthday. The hot tub was lovely, the rooms large and roomy (although only two of the five rooms were en suite). The kitchen was well equipped, spacious and clean, and although there was a 'cinema' room and a lounge, we seemed to spend most of our time in the dining room, which was also spacious. We enjoyed having lots of space, secluded surroundings, farm animals close by and peace and quiet. It wasn't the cheapest around, but we would happily revisit.

We had such a wonderful holiday here with our friends and dogs. It was far enough from the town to be quiet and secluded but close enough to pop to the shop for supplies. The owners were always on hand to answer our queries. Bring your own dvds if you don't like Jonny English! But really, there isn't much time for movie watching with the lovely garden and plenty of local villages to explore.

3 night stay 29/3/19 - 1/4/19. We had a wonderful time, the owner met us on arrival to show us around, there was a welcome gift of chocs & prosecco which we thought was a lovely gesture. Cottage is well equipped, close to local amenities, ( plenty of takeaways & pubs near by). The hot tub was fab & checked each day for cleanliness. Would highly recommend ?

The farmhouse is like a home from home. We had eight people of different age groups and there was something for everyone. Would highly recommend and hope to return again.

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful setting. Ideal for our family weekend, we played games round the large farmhouse table, shared cooking in the well equipped kitchen and splashed about in the hot tub. The hosts were there when we needed them would highly recommend.
