Situated just 5 minutes from Cardigan Bay and within easy reach to the whole of the beautiful Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastline and coastal walks, The Stables is a detached, converted stone holiday cottage peacefully set on a farm with a selection of alpacas, donkeys, goats, ducks and chickens. The owners who live on the farm, which is set in 48 acres of rolling countryside, encourage the children to interact with the animals, and are also pleased to offer the use of a barbecue hut nicknamed the ‘Hobbit House’ by the family. Guests can hire it during their stay directly with the owners, subject to availability and for a small charge. There is bike storage in the barn if you would like to bring your own bikes.
Within a 15-minute drive visitors can discover quaint New Quay, famous for the bottlenose dolphins that can often be seen from the harbour (boat trips available in season). The colourful, Georgian, harbour town of Aberaeron is just a bit further up the coast road, with its chic shops and plenty of restaurants. Only the ruins remain of this striking 13th-century castle, whose vantage point overlooks the wonderful Teifi Gorge. Also nearby is the town of Cardigan with its restored medieval castle. The Teifi Valley Railway is another experience for the visitor, a 2-mile journey offers wonderful views of the valley and countryside. Golf and horse riding can also be found locally. Beach 3½ miles. A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Requires a bit of driving to get anywhere but always worth it, the beaches especially. Cottage is immaculately clean, owners are lovely and the animals are great. My two young kids loved it and didn’t want to come home.

We had a fantastic time. The cottage was lovely and the bed was really comfortable. There was loads of wardrobe space and it was all really clean. You have to drive to the beach and shops but that wasn't a problem for us as we enjoy traveling around and finding new places along the way. It was great to feed the animals and lovely to sit outside and watch the ducks waddle up to the pond every day. Good WiFi and everything you need in a kitchen. There was parking for 2 cars with space in between. The dogs loved it and the fence is high enough that they couldn't jump over. Would highly recommend and will stay again.

This was probably the best cottage holiday we have ever taken. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked the same accomodation again later this year. One thing to note - the GPS navigator app “Waze” did not show the lane leading to the cottages and directed us initially to a nearby farm in the same postcode area. I raised the issue with Waze and received confirmation that the map is being updated as a consequence of my report. Future visitors using Waze should find Cefnllaethdre easier to locate!

Lovely cottage. The area is a bit limited for amenities. Without good weather there would not be much to do. With good weather the beaches are amazing and not far from cottage. We met the owners who were very nice and extremely helpful.
