With spectacular views over Loch Tay to the surrounding Perthshire countryside, Chapelburn is in a superb location for a family or a group of friends who want to spend time together. Originally a chapel, the building dates back to the 1900s and is located next to the stream and pool where it is believed to have been used for baptisms. Chapelburn is a detached cottage which has undergone a unique and innovative conversion transforming it into a spacious holiday home. It is the perfect property for guests wanting top quality accommodation in a fabulous location. The hot tub on the elevated decking outside adds to the experience. To take full advantage of the south facing location, the decking with clear balustrades is along the full length of the front of the cottage and the ground floor rooms all have doors leading onto the decking. The focal point of the cottage is the large open plan living area, furnished to a high standard and a great place for everyone to be together. There is a large TV, a cinema projector and you can play DVDs or plug in your iPad and watch movies. Families will also enjoy the added bonus of a 7 foot pool table. The well-equipped kitchen area boasts high quality fixtures and fittings and the second living room has a cosy double sided wood burner and comfortable sofas if you want to relax. There are also three well-presented bedrooms with patio doors leading onto the decking area. On the first floor the two super kingsize bedrooms benefit from balcony windows providing great views. Guests will find plenty of outdoor space with ample garden furniture and a footpath down to the loch side.
There is lots to do in the area and the conservation village of Kenmore at the east end of Loch Tay has a shingle beach and great views down the loch where guests can enjoy water sports, loch cruises or maybe a spot of fishing. There is a local shop, a post office, deli, the oldest inn in Scotland, restaurants and Croft na Caber Centre, a reconstruction of an Iron Age stilt dwelling built over the water. Kenmore hosts a traditional ceremony each January to mark the opening of the salmon season on the loch. This area is well known for outdoor activities with lots of walking and climbing opportunities available. Fearnan is at one end of the Tay Forest Park and leads to the hamlet of Fortingall, home of the Fortingall Yew, the oldest tree in Europe. At the far end of the loch is Killin and the Falls of Dochart, and a superb drive from here to the Bridge of Balgie leads to the top of Glen Lyon, the longest in Scotland. Golf is widely available throughout the region as well as horse riding, fishing, quad biking, bird-watching and cycling. Guests can take a Highland safari exploring the mountains, spot local wildlife including deer, visit whisky distilleries, historic castles and gardens. Whatever you choose to do during your stay you can rest assured that the luxury of Chapelburn awaits your return. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Ellis was very helpful from the outset taking the trouble to email prior to our visit to offer any assistance/advice to ensure we enjoyed our stay. On arrival there were a couple of minor issues which he quickly resolved ensuring we had a fantastic time. The property offers stunning views of Loch Tay and every home comfort. Kenmore is about a 15 minute drive away with a local shop need you have to stock up on supplies. It is a beautiful village and well worth a visit. Chapelburn is an ideal location for celebrations and we would heartily recommend it to anyone.

Chapelburn is a stunning house in a beautiful location. The views from the house are wonderful and it's layout is excellent for a large group of friends or family. The house is very well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. The hot tub on the deck overlooking the loch is hard to beat. The very large garden is perfect for dogs and ours even enjoyed a swim in the river outside!

Let us start with saying the the pictures, not even get close to do the house justice. What a great place. The way everything is set up room vice, makes this property one of the greatest we have been in. The biiiiiigggg combined kitchen and lounge room, makes a perfect meeting place for all the participants. The great rooms for guest are situated in the other end of the building, where there is quiet. Great bathrooms also. The garden is grat, but best is the terasse with a stunning view over Loch Tay. Ellis is great too, very helpfull and almost anoyed ;-) that we didn't contact him for help to find round the area and what to see. He was very aware of what kind of party we were, and did everything needed for us to feel that we were welcome. Highly reccomendable.

A beautiful home in a stunning location. Very high standard of furnishings and equipment. Beautifully clean. Plenty of room for our party of 9 to spread out. Outdoor seating, bbq and hot tub were fantastic and well used in the few hot and sunny days we were lucky enough to experience. The owner was very welcoming, friendly and full of ideas and suggestions about the local area which ensured we had a good holiday in Chapelburn. We would highly recommend this property for a memorable holiday.

Absolutely amazing cottage- great for a group of friends! Enough space that you aren’t tripping over each other and totally kitted out! The hot tub and pool table are enough to keep you entertained, the wall of DVDs and games being a plus!

We have stayed in many holiday cottages in this area over the last 20 years and I would say that this was one of the best. The location is amazing with magnificent views over Loch Tay and our party of 10 could not have found a more ideal house to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. The open plan kitchen and dining/sitting area was perfect for us and the cosy sitting room is a lovely area to relax after dinner. Kerry and her family were very helpful and responded quickly when we had any queries. They also left a welcome hamper with all sorts of goodies for which we were very grateful. We would love to return in the summer and make more of the outdoor decking area with hot tub and definitely recommend this beautiful house for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

The cottage is stunning, fully equipped and it has breath taking views, I would definetly go back!! It is a wee bit too expensive to go often but I think every penny was worth it for our holiday this time. However, I would like to mention a small detail: the dinning chairs look great but they are very uncomfortable so I would recommend looking into a different set when they eventually break. Anyway, for me and my friends this cottage was overall a 10 =)

Stayed at Chapleburn for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations and all nine of us had a wonderful time. The location is great but can be hard to find as there isn't a sign outside the cottage, however the owner was very helpful and guided us in! The views are amazing and we were lucky that the weather was kind to us during out stay in November. A well thought out welcome hamper was prepared for our arrival and the hot tub was ready to use! Would happily recommend and would stay again. Thank you!

We were looking somewhere secluded for our honeymoon that allowed dogs. So glad we stumbled upon this place. The views are amazing! Loved the location and the hot tub made it the perfect place to relax. The whole house was beautifully decorated and super clean. The only thing that would have made it super perfect would be a coffee machine just so we didn’t have to drive to Aberfieldy for the best coffee. We really enjoyed staying here. Can see it being a brilliant party house or somewhere to chill out with friends.

Fabulous views and a beautiful location. A lovely house with everything you need and more. The only thing we would change about the house would be the dining chairs - they didn't feel particularly stable!
