Warm and comfortable stay for a few days, the cottage stands alone so nice and quiet but the owners are close by and available if need be. Everything is modern and the wi-fi is good. An enjoyable stay.

Great views through large window in east facing wall.
Close to busy road so expect noise when sitting outside.
Good location to visit all interesting things in the area between Barnard Castle, Alston and Corbridge. Hadrian's Wall is within easy reach.
Don't forget to visit the cliffs at the coast near Easington Colliery and Blackhal Colliery.
Cottage was ideally situated for us visiting relatives. Dog friendly although no enclosed garden. Very well equipped and clean. Owners live next door and are very friendly and provided a bottle of wine and chocolates which was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again
