Potentially this is a really good holiday cottage but the following basics were neglected: poor information in the welcome pack that did not detail useful information i.e. rubbish collection days also no rubbish bags available on arrival, no toilet paper, no washing up liquid. The dishwasher was broken and although was to be repaired on the Monday after we arrived, no body had been by the time we were due to leave, by then there was a very unpleasant smell. The front door yale lock was faulty and you had to be very careful not to lock yourself out the cottage (which we did once). Outside the rear garden was nice and secluded but need some attention to the plants and a general tidy up. The patio set was fine except it had obviously not been cleaned as there was a lot of bird muck over the chairs and table. There was water leaking onto the pathway area under the kitchen widow, not really sure where that was coming from. The above faults can pretty easily be rectified which would help this really nice cottage to live up to its potential and warrant the price you pay to stay.

Had a lovely week at Church Cottage. Great to have Saltwater Cafe and The Craster Arms on the doorstep - staff at the Saltwater were really friendly and their breakfasts are delicious. Cottage is comfortable and cosy, kitchen is great there’s everything that you’ll need for your break and if you have dogs the garden is really secure. Beaches are only a short walk away - both Beadnell and Beadnell Bay. Dogs had a great time. Visited Berwick, Alnwick, Alnmouth, Low Newton, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne - all within easy reach by car. Will definitely be coming back.

Always enjoy our stay at the cottage, been going now for 6years but on our recent stay upon arriving it appeared the cleaning had been rushed and not up to usual standard.

Had another lovely holiday in the cottage but shower mount was broken and according to the book to write down any damages or breakages this was written down in November,so possibly no one reads them. Also building work was ongoing next door and they started at 8oclock. Also contact details on the back of the door were wrong, so when we left the cottage having put the telephone number in my mobile to inform them we were leaving it was no longer in use

We loved our stay in Church Cottage. A lovely, well sized cottage in the heart of Beadnell Village. The cottage was very clean, tidy, warm and spacious. Very impressed with the lovely large kitchen which was great for group dinners. We took two small dogs and the outside yard was perfect and entirely secure for them and I am sure would be a little sun trap in the summer (but sadly it was November for us!). Lounge was lovely, parking was good (directly outside) and all bedrooms nice and comfortable. There is some building work taking place at the pub next door which caused a small disturbance (mainly when the little one that was with us was napping in the day) but hopefully that will be sorted soon and it didn't dampen a lovely week. The cottage is seconds from a great pub and cafe, and 5 minutes walk from stunning Beadnell beach. One of our favourite places on earth. This was a real find and I am sure we would love to visit again. Thanks all! Nicola
