It is set in a simply breathtaking rural location on a non-working farm where the owners keep a small flock of sheep and a dog. The cottage adjoins the owners’ home and has been completely renovated yet has retained its character and charm with a stone entrance porch exposed beams original stone fireplace and large mullioned windows with spectacular views from each one. A luxurious hot tub sits on one side of the south-facing flagstone patio to the other side is the barbecue and outside dining area - the perfect place where you can relax and take in the peace and tranquility whilst absorbing the surrounding panoramic landscape.\nExcellent walking and cycling are both available direct from the door as the farm backs onto the Calderdale Way with the National Trust’s Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way close by. Although accessed by a farm track and in a rural location just a 10-minute walk will take you to a local pub serving food where the local bus stops whilst the local shoppost office is just 5 minutes further. The cottage is 1½ miles from Hebden Bridge with its abundance of shops cafés and independent retailers about 30 minutes on foot or less than 10 minutes by local bus. The local equestrian centre and Hebden Bridge Golf Course are both within 5 minutes by car.\nA scenic 20-minute drive will take you to Haworth with its wonderful cobbled high street and most famous as the home of the Brontë sisters. Around 50 minutes by car is the market town of Skipton known as ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’ and the Peak District National Park can also be reached in around an hour. Hebden Bridge has excellent rail links to the cities of Leeds Manchester and York and for children the highly acclaimed Eureka Museum can be reached in around ½ an hour. Shoppost office pub and restaurant ½ mile. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/139/{pixelwidth}/1393914.jpg UKC2454

Lovely location and a well equipped house. The finish to a very high standard would highly recommend this cottage

Excellent facilities couldn't have wished for better.

Great cottage had everything we needed. The bedrooms and en-suite were great. Lovely and warm. The welcome pack was wonderful. Tea, coffee milk in the fridge. With local cheeses. Which I have to say were that nice i went to the shop and brought some to take home. Croissants, jam little chocolate and crackers for cheese. All a great touch. The views were spectacular. The pub was a 10 minute walk away. Which served great food. The owners who lives next door were there for any questions but they were not overbearing. . Only give the cottage a 9 on comfort because all of us said the beds were to hard. Thats a personal opinion, the next person might like a hard bed.

Our 2nd stay at Commons Farm. The owners have managed to maintain very high standards. On reflection, I think the only improvement that they could make, would be to upgrade to a King size or Super kingsize in one of the two beautiful bedrooms. However, that would not stop us from returning. The cottage is very comfortable with Three, large modern bathrooms. My favourite part of the cottage are the views from the patio. They are amazing and the Hot tub is mavelous. Andrew checks tye hot tub daily to make sure it is up to scratch! This is very reassuring.

Superb cottage and great location to explore Hebden and Haworth

Great cottage, first class and would highly recommend. Only thing is drive up to cottage on the dirt track which is very uneven and could create problems for some elderly in a car.

the owners were very nice, there if you needed them and very helpful. the cottage itself is lovely, very clean and comfortable with all you need for a very relaxing holiday. the outlook from the patio area is gorgeous and my daughters and wife really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub drinking prosecco and just chatting in the peaceful surroundings.

This is a beautiful cottage with stunning views from the garden and all the windows. It is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. The owners, Andrew and Jane, have thought of everything that guests would need and enjoy, and the result is a very special place to stay. There were many extra touches, such as providing bathrobes, a welcome pack which included local cheeses, a range of interesting books and a wide range of up to date leaflets about the local area. We received a very warm and friendly welcome when we arrived, and Andrew recommended places to visit and to eat and drink.

Extremely well equipped cottage, beautifully finished and with wonderful views. Helpful owner lives next door and he made our arrival quick and easy. Plenty of car parking too. However, the property is isolated and accessed only by a long and deeply potholed track. Whilst that makes for blissful tranquility, if you have, say, a bad back or a low-slung vehicle, you might be advised to seek advice from the owner before booking. Once you’re there, though, it’s fabulous and the proof of that is we plan to return!

A 5 Star cottage with features and equipment of a 5 Star spar Hotel. Incredible views and peaceful location, but a car is essential if staying for a week as most places we visited we're 20 to 60 minute drives each way. The welcome pack and those minor items you need when self catering are all provided and very much appreciated. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we will be returning. The single car width none tarmacked section of road from main road to the owners tarmacked road, is a shaker for driver & passengers and I would take very slowly and avoid arriving in darkness.

Brilliant and beautiful location. The cottage does have almost everything you would need. Only downside is there isn't a washing machine but the offer to use the hosts machine was there. The cottage itself is clean, well decorated and the views, outstanding. I really could not recommend this cottage enough. Part of the access road is gravel but easily passible in a standard car. And Hebden Bridge, it's beautiful.

Excellent cottage with great views. Well equipped, with all sorts of things you forgot to pack. The owners are really nice, helpfull and friendly, and overall this is our Number One cottage experience so far. I would like to thank them both for a wonderful welcome, and a great stay. We would love to stay there again. A quick note on the unmade section of farm track access. It needs a steady hand and slow speed, but its not too bad. I've known worse. We made it ok in a Ford Focus in dry conditions, and if you have any more ground clearance, then its all good.

Lovely cottage with amazing views of countryside. Immaculately clean and lovely and cosy with the underfloor heating. Beautifully furnished and hot tub is an added bonus which makes the most of the views. Location is great - 10 min walk to local pub with nice food and beer and a great base to explore further afield. Wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend

The best cottage we have ever stayed in. A perfect holiday for us. The extra touches were lovely. Very clean and luxurious. Child friendly. The only things which might be drawbacks for some were an unmade road on approach and nothing much within walking distance but this would not put us off. Lots to do in only a short drive or a longer walk. It would be fantastic to return sometime.
